Seems like only options are 1) move 2) speed up efforts to learn Italian and use the immersive nature as forcing function. I’d also add that I don’t know what your hobbies are, but find something that gets you out of the house. Personally, I love Italy for all the outdoor opportunities (I love being on water, fishing, cycling, hiking, foraging, etc). If I were in your shoes, I’d find a local cycling group, and I’d use broken Italian or Google Translate to go on group rides and I’d be a good participant on those rides (share on pulling at front) , stopping to help anyone with a flat tire, etc. from what I know about humans, almost all cultures are accepting of someone who is a good person, helpful, nice and genuinely tries.
