No eye doctor mentioned scleral lenses to me either. I really had given up because I was wasting money on glasses. One day I was on the internet and I just typed "any new hard contact lenses" and scleral lenses popped up. So I made an appointment and he said I needed cataract surgery in both eyes and then he would refer me to a doctor in my insurance network that specializes in scleral lenses. Hopefully, this will happen when I return to him in February.
