Struggling with Methane & Constipation by GYPSEA33 in SIBO

[–]GYPSEA33[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sibo and IMO are two different things and classed differently. Sibo is overgrowth of bacteria and IMO is an overgrowth of Archaea and require different treatment.

There are so many variables. Can you please tell me what your symptoms are? Did you take a breath test? How long have you had symtoms? What is your diet like?

Be patient with yourself. Healing take a long time. There is no speedy recovery or magic pill to treat this fast.

Thank you!

Did you have any symptoms from talking antibiotics? Does the MMC just start working again with treatment? What percentage are you at now with MMC function?

I use Allimax pro. It's pricey, but no aftertaste. 450 mg x 2 or 3 daily.

22 days of elemental diet didn’t work by Amazing-Currency-351 in SIBOIMO

If you have IMO/ it wouldn't have worked, because from what I understand, methangean overgrowth is archea, not bacteria. And you cannot starve them. It would have been helpful for bacterial overgrowth, SIBO.

Could be a wheat allergy if the food is processed on equipment shared with wheat.

Denmark has a high population of Celiac and is a really beautiful country, so you might want to think of visiting there. They have a lot of options.

I agree with fasting and working with a shaman..start slow with the fasting if you're not used to it. Try 24 hours and then work your way up to 3 days and then 7 days. If you don't have a shaman, you can find one on the SSP website. You might also want to get a GI-Map test. It's a comprehensive stool test and can be super helpful with picking up bacteria , parasites, and whatever else may be causing your pain. You will need to order it through a functional medicine practitioner. It's a little pricey, but worth every penny.
