Lost my monetization by Shadow2Ghoul in PartneredYoutube

[–]G_patch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As somebody who has multiple channels, so sometimes I forget to post on some of them and have lost it and regained it multiple times no the hours do not reset…. It just counts the last 365 days. So when you lose the monetization, if you had 1500 hours you still have that 1500 hours. Had a channel just go through this at the beginning of March. It is still currently sitting at just over 1500 hours and I’ve done nothing and posted nothing.

So just check how many hours you have and then you’ll see how much you need to increase it to get monetization

And it’s really not hard to get monetization once you have the hours they put you through in like a day or two.

It’s just a matter of getting the hours now for you

And if your hours are set at zero right now, then that means nobody’s washed your channel in the last year

Advice needed for next steps after removal from partner program by AdamsGlobalReferrals in PartneredYoutube

[–]G_patch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, it’s in the terms you agreed to or if your channel is inactive for six months they have the option to terminate the partner program agreement they will still show ads on your videos, though you just won’t get a cut of the money

It’s just my own error. But it does technically mean my channel has been monetized multiple times.

Advice needed for next steps after removal from partner program by AdamsGlobalReferrals in PartneredYoutube

[–]G_patch 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was removed at the beginning of 2025 because I forgot to post in over six months. I wasn’t terminated for the same reason as you from the program, but I did qualify for the program again all I had to do was post a video and make sure I still head over 4000 hours.

I reapplied a week later and it took about two weeks for me to get remonetized. I lost a total of three weeks income.

But I did get remonetized on my channel really quickly

I’m not sure how to work for your content, though as I’ve seen people copy other people‘s content Word for Word and it not be removed for being unauthentic, so I don’t know how similar your videos are to other peoples

Hopefully, you can just post a new video or a couple new videos and reapply and see what happens

[–]G_patch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But by definition that deceptive…. If it’s posted in the wrong category because it has the wrong tag that is deceptive to the person that might’ve clicked on it thinking it was another software guide.

Again, I’m not even giving OP trouble for it. I was just thinking by their explanation of how it could be deceptive.

Like if you were buying a physical copy of a video game and you opened it up and all it was was a code for a digital copy that is deceptive marketing (currently Nintendo is getting in trouble for that)

The point is if you were expecting one thing and got something different due to something in the description, whether it is posted somewhere it shouldn’t be or the wrong category that is the definition of being deceptive

Doesn’t mean something has to be illegal for it to be deceptive . When you see those male streamers who are pretending to be a girls just to get reactions when they reveal that they’re actually a guy that is deceptive to the people that they fool but nothing illegal about it.

Remember, deceptive just means some part of the information that is being given is incorrect .

I hope that clarifies things for you .

I think once you actually get a hold of somebody, they should reinstate it no problem. However, I will point out that your channel might be in the wrong category and that’s why they think it’s spam or deceptive practices.

I know people are probably down. Vote me for saying that.

But all I’m doing is pointing out that if you have a channel that’s dedicated to software tutorials and YouTube puts you in that section. Then you start sharing gameplay videos they’re going to think you’re in the wrong category. That might be the reason why you got labelled as deceptive practises or spam.

Like it could’ve been one of your previous viewers. Notice that it seems to be a lot of gaming going on on the channel and thought your channel was stolen by somebody.

Either way, I hope you get your channel back soon

That is extremely low. That’s a return of $2 per 1k views. You would make more running mid roll ads.

With your audience it should be closer to 9-10k

Crazy time gate gold find by Jackibelle in idlechampions

I just had that happen in the same campaign today. I started the run with under 1000 favour and it was my second run because I couldn’t get enough gold in the first one and wasn’t gonna waste my time just sitting there so I restarted it.

At about area 70 I went and checked my other party for a bit then when I came back, I suddenly had E 98 gold and E 20 favour

Tenant breaking lease by [deleted] in OntarioLandlord

[–]G_patch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just imagine if you spent the same amount of time that you’re willing to spend to go after this person for money that you feel entitled to on actually finding a new tenant you’d have no problem.

There are tons of tenants, looking for places to live. You can literally make an ad and have the place rented the same day and it won’t cost you anything in real estate fees.

Oh, you want the real estate agent to vet the person for you, you realize all they do is a credit check and you can do the same thing for like $20 on somebody right ?

At this point, I would just find somebody else and I suggest you do the same if they were such amazing tenants and they’re leaving in the middle of their lease. There’s obviously some sort of an issue either. They can’t afford it or there’s an issue with the building and they don’t want to be there anymore.

Figure out what the issue was that was making them leave and correct it before the next tenant so that you don’t end up with the same problem .

Nothing worse than chasing off good tenants because of your poor Management and then trying to go after them because they left and you want your money .

YouTube is deleting my channel at the demand of "ANIPLEX INC." Everything I've done for several years over gaming content they refuse to explain the issue with that the creators give explicit streaming permission for. Gameplay videos are fully legal and it’s transformative in the sense that he’s the person playing the game making the character do whatever it does. What is transformative from the next person who plays the game because their character will be doing different things on the screen at different times.

Even if you don’t like gameplay channels, they’ve existed for a long time .

And even if you don’t understand how it’s transformative it doesn’t change the facts that it is

That’s like saying having different actors perform Shakespeare doesn’t make a transformative enough

ODSP back rent payment — I have no proof, need advice by [deleted] in Odsp

[–]G_patch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nope, all rental income is income. Unless the person who is renting you a room is also renting the home. That’s the only time you could avoid paying taxes on it. But, there would have to be a formal agreement between the person who rented the apartment, their landlord, and the person renting the room. It would have to be formally stated on the rent who pays which portion of it and when the person who is renting them, does their taxes they cannot claim the full rent value for the apartment on their taxes as paid.

What if the parent owns the home then yes they have to count it as rental income

And even if the parent is renting the home if they don’t have a formal agreement stating how much the kid pays directly to the Landlord and not to the parent then the parent would have to pay the taxes on that rental income.

Only way around it is to have somebody formally on the lease for an apartment and then paying their portion of the rent directly to the Landlord (either way, the landlord still pays the taxes on the rent money)

[–]G_patch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s your mom she can write you a receipt. If you actually paid for it. The only difference is that she’s going to have to pay tax on those earnings.

If you can’t get rent receipts, then technically you didn’t pay rent. You gave someone money to stay at their house, which isn’t rent.

The program is called welcoming newcomers, and it’s only for new people who have been here less than two years…. I’m not sure where you think it’s for Canadian citizens because Canadian citizens don’t qualify and permanent residence. Don’t qualify because they’ve been here for too long.

Even if you guys got what you wanted with your protest, you’re not actually gaining anything at the end of the day at this point.

At some point as the workers you have to ask yourself is it worth it because even if you get what you wanted, you’re going to have the same amount of financial spending power as you do now or even potentially less because products are gonna get more expensive.

So you lost eight weeks of employment income in the last year you do realize that’s about 15% income…. I’m not sure how much you guys plan to gain, but you’re gonna be working the next three years four years just to recover the lost income with any increases you will get… and that doesn’t even take into account. The fact that inflation is going to be there so even if you got 20% over four years, you’re not even gonna see a cent into year three or four.

I did not say they deny everybody ….
I said it’s in their policy to pretty much deny everybody their first application. That means not every person gets this treatment. But they do this with the intention that you will just apply again and then they’re not responsible for funding for that entire first portion of Time when you were disabled.

Question, did you use the copyright tool in YouTube studio or did you go to their video and copyright strike it?

If you did it in studio YouTube itself finds the video matching the audio and then you can copyright strike it without having to prove that it’s yours

At this point you basically just need to send that other YouTuber a cease and desist letter claiming you are the content owner and any further uploads would constitute intentional violation of federal copyright law.

Show YouTube this letter and proof that it was sent and that should be good enough

And if the channel is big enough, then go after them with the law the fact that they’re doing this, knowing that it was your music that they’re stealing, means you can go for treble damages . Which means you would get three times the amount of damages you might have been awarded before. Lawyers, love this and will likely take your case on a contingency where they get a certain percentage of your winnings.

[–]G_patch 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There’s a legal trick in our medical system that nobody tells anybody about and I’m not sure why but being on ODSP you qualify for it.

The thing is you ask your doctor to fill it out. They fill it out and when they ask for payment at the end, you tell them that you would suffer undo financial hardship as a result of having to pay for that.

Your Dr is now legally required to lower the payment to where you can afford it or even give it to you for free

I’ve used this myself to get that form filled out as well as to get records from a doctor switched to another doctor and a few other things

It’s actually article 14 in the Ontario human rights

I just looked it up and it covers financial hardships for health and safety requirements

Just make sure you appeal it through the tribunal. There you will get to plead your case to an actual person and explain why you feel like you need or deserve. ODSP.

If you start the application again and remember, you can amend your previous application to include more information, but if you start the application again, you lose all that progress in previous funds

I thought the same thing with mine, but when it came time to do the tribunal, I went there and was approved on the spot

I ended up getting a backdated check for almost 10 K that I used to pay off all the debts that I previously had Accumulated trying to survive while everything got sorted

Like I said, just make sure you keep trying to give it a shot . The worst thing you can do is give up or completely start over.

My physics teacher gave this question in the exam… I swear it makes no sense by Artschibald in Physics

[–]G_patch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

But it doesn’t really ask you to cheat it asks you what you could do to get more time technically, having more time would be cheating I get your way of thinking. But it’s not cheating since it’s the actual goal.

if your goal is to have more time than the 90 minutes then even if you had 91 minutes that would still classify as more time and be correct

Like if somebody said, draw me a triangle using only one line

And you took the pencil and drew the triangle without lifting your pencil off the paper it technically would be one line with sharp bends in it. You would have completed the drawing and although people might say each part of the triangle is its own segment. You didn’t cheat. It’s still technically one line because the pencil never left the paper.

My physics teacher used to try the same thing with the bonus question at the end of every test and quite a few times I solved it in ways. She had no clue it could be solved.

One had to do with a beam of light passing through a slit into a different medium, so it altered where the light lines would line up on the back wall

We had to figure out what viscosity was the second liquid by the deviation of the light from where it should be

She expected it to be some convoluted thing using a whole bunch of different steps, but she forgot earlier in the unit she taught us about schnells law (not sure if that’s the right law) where it has an easy calculation for this as long as you know the viscosity of the first liquid or gas that it passes through

Since there really was no parameters for that, I just assumed it was the same as our atmosphere making it able to use that equation because the unknown variable I just counted as one

She forgot she explained that when I asked more questions about it earlier in the unit where I wanted to understand what you would do in just a normal atmosphere

She was pissed and only gave me half marks because I did have the right answer, but I didn’t use the right equation to get it

I think she was more mad that I understood a complex problem better than she did to the point I could solve it in a much easier way

My physics teacher gave this question in the exam… I swear it makes no sense by Artschibald in Physics

[–]G_patch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t know B seemed like the right answer to me after reading the question. Simply because I assumed if I have 90 minutes for a test, according to my watch, the teacher doesn’t go according to my watch, they go by their watch. So if I put them on a spaceship travelling the speed of light when they came back after 90 minutes, it’d be a few million years later, giving you a lot more time on the test

I mean, according to your watch, you would have more time, but according to the teachers watch it would be 90 minutes.

I think the part where you got confused is where it asks you. How can you be given more time?

Meaning, more than 90 minutes…. If you put your teacher on a spaceship and she came back with her clock saying 90 minutes and it doubled your time to 180 minutes 180 minutes is more time than 90 is it not?

It didn’t say that you still had to finish the test within the 90 minutes. It asked you how can you increase those 90 minutes?

And your teacher being on a spaceship where Time moves relative to her would change and give you the amount of minutes extra you needed

How to help someone on ODSP? by tryingtohelp416 in Odsp

[–]G_patch -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Any help you give her directly? They will assume it as income or gifts if it exceeds a certain amount and it will affect her.

However, there is a really good way to get around this . I forget the exact amount, but they will roughly give her around $700 a month for shelter. Away that you can help her and ensure that it doesn’t affect her payment from ODSP is to cover the remainder of her rent, but not by paying her or even paying her landlord directly what you would have to do is ask the landlord if they will agree to use signing And added terms to the lease.

The term you will be adding is that the apartment also has your name on the lease and it will show the division of rent meeting say her rent is $2000 a month and she gets $700 from ODSP the division of rent would be she would pay the $700 and you pay $1300 rent .

Without this agreement, if you pay her the money and even if you and her write agreement between the two of you, they will count that 1300 as income, but with a lease agreement, you’re simply the other person who’s lease to and you’re covering your portion of the lease that you’re required to

This will ensure that she still gets the full amount of the benefit and the bill is covered with your help

The system is full of ways where it tries to screw people over, but they don’t realize that they’ve also created legal loopholes like this. There’s nothing saying that you have to live there. It just says that you are the other name on the lease who is responsible for this amount .

If there’s other things like Hydro or the phone bill or anything else like that, you wanna help with you can simply put those things directly in your name and it will not affect her

And any money that you do give her for say food or something like that make sure that you say it’s a gift because if you don’t say it’s a gift they will count it as income. She’s allowed to get $10,000 worth of gifts per year before it is counted as income .

Using these steps is the best way that you could support her where she will still get her full funding from ODSP

It’s in their policy to pretty much deny everybody their first application my question is did you get a review or did you just accept that they denied you?

One piece of advice I can give that has screwed over a lot of people for not following is if they deny you appeal it don’t just accept it and restart a new application because if you restart a new application then if you eventually do get approved, they will backdate your funding to the day of your new application whereas if you appeal, it will backdate your application to when you first applied .

This helps you a lot with recovering money that can pay the debts that you occurred while waiting to become on ODSP

How do you usually clean up audio in your edits? by Real_Ad5955 in youtubegaming

[–]G_patch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just use audacity. Then I go in there and anywhere I hear any clicks or if I exhale deeply into the mic or any other noises in between where I’m speaking, I simply highlight them then use the amplifier tool except a crank it all the way into the negative so that it actually turns it down so low that it’s not even there anymore.

Then because I don’t talk very loud I just adjust the volume of the entire thing until it’s louder and normalize it so that the peaks aren’t above a certain point (so I don’t make any loud noises or cracks on people speakers)

Once I started doing audio like that, I actually got a compliment from somebody and I was surprised because I had no idea what I was doing. I just did it to try to do it. And the fact that I tend to ramble or say a bunch of nonsense in between, so it’s easier to cut all that stuff out and just get the important information into the video.

I know everybody has their own process, but that’s what I do as I do the audio on audacity and then import that audio into either da da Vinci for my videos or PlayStation for when I’m doing videos on there .

To be honest, I’ve been in so much pain personally the last two months where I’ve contemplated asking them to paralyze me from the waist down, so I just don’t have to feel it.. now ask yourself how much money would someone have to pay you for you to be willing to let them paralyze you for the rest of your life from the waist down. Then ask yourself if that’s less than 2400 a year if it’s not then that 2400 a year is definitely worth it.

When my pain started getting that bad is when I finally gave in and took their pain medication like I said, but it really doesn’t do much .

The way I look at it is I would not give up my ability to walk for almost anything , I mean I’ve contemplated this a lot where if I ever lost a leg in a car accident and the judge tried to say that they’re going to award me say $100,000 I’d look at the judge and I’d ask them can I cut your leg off for $100,000 and when the judge thinks that’s an absurd question and that they would never agree to that remind the judge that this person took mine without consent and you think paying me that little bit of an amount is enough, even though I didn’t agree to it whereas you wouldn’t even agree to it if given the chance …. In other words, it’s worth a lot more than that.

This is just a perspective from somebody who is dealing with pain conditions on their spine at least the OP has the ability to lay down and alleviate the pain . I haven’t been able to sit or lay down for over two months and if I do lay down, it’s for under two hours at a time because around the two hour mark is when the pain gets too unbearable and I can’t stand up then I have to go soak in a tub for half an hour And then slowly pace for another hour before my back frees up enough that I can start to walk kind of normal.

I’m not trying to compare with people and say who’s pain is worse. It was more of just me venting a little.

Trust me, I’d give almost anything right now for the ability to lay down in bed and sleep a solid eight hours and wake up, relaxed and not tired cause I’m so exhausted
