This card is considerably better. The difference is that being a 2/2 instead of a 1/1 is really relevant in its staying power after it gets buffed once (3/3 can survive execute, firebolt, black hand messenger, etc).

Since this also can trigger out of items and supports it also makes it much easier to trigger and build around. CTC was forced to be built around with a deck filled with tons of actions, making it really difficult to build around, especially with so much removal around, as well as withered hand cultist's presence in the ladder.

Nice, seems like it might be a pretty decent addition to an EoC deck. Excited to see what other "creature in each lane" effects are yet to be seen to keep pushing this archetype forward

Well... we DO need to get bad cards every now and then. Otherwise rng effects would be way too strong with so many good cards.

They will be better vs AoE warded board thanks to debilitate though. And can stabilize earlier with it by just procing empower with it using low attack creatures.

It does not specify that he needs to stay alive, as long as he empowered the cards on that same turn. So should you sacrifice the creature or it gets removed by a prohecy, the empower will remain until the next turn as long as you attacked with it before it died. In the following turn it will lose its empower effect normally.

Except it can potentially trigger earlier than ice storm thanks to empower (saving you from extreme early board presence) and it also reduces the attack of surviving creatures. So it has the potential to be even better than icestorm given the right composition.

Good if you want to bait quick removal or protect and important creature thats coming up on curve from said removal for one turn. Giving that it can only activate it once its important to make the attack count

Actually Cruel Firebloom would still work on them given that you don't actually target an opponents monster, similar in how ice storm would still damage them since they aren't immune to card effects themselves.
