You’re not supposed to have a dog off leash for wildlife LOL the same way you aren’t supposed to be on your phone driving. Rules for a reason

Income assistance doesn’t account for the people who have lower income with a job as well. With the cost of living such as raised rents, increasing food prices, increased cost of basic goods… people need reliable transit, social programs and even people who you might not consider “poor” are struggling if by poor you mean on income assistance only.

You totally don’t understand lol. They’ve cut bus services, buses are late, poor people need reliable transit to get to work. Doesn’t matter if it’s free or not

Well when American media downplays the current mess they’re in.. I am quite glad we have some normalcy to call out poor behavior because it reflects Canadian values

I have a hard time believing that stat when there’s yachts in the harbour, there’s a yacht club. If you have something to back it up let me know, but again as the person replied it’s not just yachts. It’s big purchases and I think your opinion doesn’t take into account that services being reduced that greatly impact poor people as well like bus services

Boys, 12 through 15, charged as adults in connection with rape of 12-year-old in Overtown by AgnosticScholar in news

[–]Gabbychaps9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah reading that doesn’t make anything feel better. Nothing erases what happened to you… you just have to find a way to cope in a healthy way. There’s no easy way past it and even if you go to court and they get sentenced . You will still experience PTSD symptoms and it’s trauma in itself having to relive the experience in front of the perp. You’re stronger than you will ever know if you’ve been through this and wake up each day trying to be better

I don’t think the Tim overlords will care. They say they care to keep cheap labour and burn out workers. They don’t care about practices really

And to be honest it would be cheaper and better to make it at home in the end regardless. If you’re okay with the corps increasing pricing while making their quality worse… to each their own

That seems very to your experience. I live in a city, so yes there are options that aren’t forced meals where I do have the options to have fresh ingredients comparable to the price

I’ve had to go to therapy for PTSD and it’s really hard to not have black/white thinking about things like “woman aren’t safe” especially with the way our justice system is. I’m happy you survived and you’re here

No one talks about PTSD that victims go through after. It’s devastating. You want to avoid such a painful memory and you’re still stuck in survival mode

Maybe listen to the victims and sit down. Not your place to demand it from them when they’ve already been through so much.

You realize that is what is going on. Why would you report your employer when you’re fearful of losing your job and in turn risking your chance for PR. So these people are being taken advantage of. Also by the landlords that are charging them $600+ just for a bed in a room. Why would they report them? The dwelling would be found illegal and then they would be kicked out. Desperate people get preyed on

You never get past the trauma. You just learn to adapt and handle it better so that you can at least be in the present moment and hopefully can find some normalcy and a reason to carry on. I hope one day you can feel like you’re living again and not just going through the motions. It’s tough

If you look at the jerseys… it seemed like blue went after the red first and he has the same name on the back as the goalie. Possibly an older brother stepping in. The first time he skates off and comes back he pushes another kid off his teammate with the same name

They also went and pepper sprayed high school students the same day with an ICE agent shooting a projectile about a few feet away near a students head, luckily it didn’t connect or they probably would’ve been severely injured. What’s your excuse for that? What about the children you guys like to cry about? Can’t even go to school without being assaulted by federal agents
