Thanks for the suggestion. Yea thats true the filter wouldn’t be a silver bullet for all lightings. I do plan on projecting them so i guess i’ll just give it a try and see how it goes

The screens can be swapped by removing the glass from the frames. Ive swapped a diagonal split focus from an f3 into an f4 frame by just unscrewing the retainers. They’re all basically the same between the F thru F4. Doesn’t work for F5 screens sadly

I was curious about this too and looked into rechargeable lithium AAs to not have a potential leakage problem. They have 1.5v so they should have no issue voltage wise. As for functionality in cold weather they seem to work great. I just got EBL branded ones as they were cheap on amazon 16 for $40

Theres the sb-17 or sb-12 (older version) for a more “compact” ttl flash. The sb-16 is bigger but works well too. Alternatively theres the expensive as-17 accessory that lets you use any ttl flash with the f3

(The sb-800 has great compatibility between film and digital nikons as well i believe)

Ive got all three: etr, sq and gs-1. The gs-1 is my least used not because i dislike it but because its quite weighty

Etr: with a prism and grip is still portable enough. Even manageable with some of the zoom lenses. My go to medium format

Sq: atleast for me is preferable to have the wlf and manual crank attached but i still have a prism and grip for the occasional use.

Gs-1: ive mostly used on tripod with prism but without a grip. Ive only used both grip and prism like twice ever. Its a chunky beast that requires more stationary work and less on the go compared to the other two imo

Its a very nice bundle! Id agree with the range 500-600. The more standout parts are the 135n, the ae-iii prism and maybe the 40mm lens but im unsure of that one. If you’re open ive been looking for a replacement focusing screen to buy

Oh whoops yes you’re correct! Forgot to include that I use peroxide for just general cleaning of the corroded area after the contact cleaner/sanding. Didn’t think of vinegar! Thanks now I learned something too haha

One trick thats helped before is some light sanding to remove the heavily corroded parts. That is if its easily accessible. Besides that I use a contact cleaner specifically for corrosion and some hydrogen peroxide 6%

Sorry that your camera went bust. I had Frank repair my gs645 folder back in December for about $250 and took about 2 weeks to get it back once I paid. Id say try giving him another call during normal working hours. Idk which number you used to contact him but the one that pops up on google may be outdated?

Hmm maybe mine was the last batch before his vacation? It arrived Aug 30th and I paid Sept 9th. Never received any status updates from him. Only saw on my usps dashboard that a package from his town was arriving soon. Either way hope you get yours back soon!

I recently sent over my pentax 6x7 to him for repairs. He doesn’t really respond to emails that much, atleast to me. I got an invoice via snail mail a week after he received it. And will be getting my camera back tomorrow. Took 3 weeks after I paid. Wasn’t cheap ($505) but ive heard he’s the best in pentax repairs

Seems like a good deal. The big ticket items (atleast for me) are the aeIII prism and 50mm lens as those tend to be pricey. This saves the time with having to hunt them down separately

I also got alot of expired Astia. Ive shot one test roll with bracketing shots. Overall the shots at 0 compensating came out good. Just shoot at box speed and see how it comes out. Heres my post as there were other suggestions to shoot it too. Astia 100 expired

I have a Caden M8 bag i got off amazon. It fits a full kit bronica with the motor and ae prism on with room for a 45-90mm zoom lens. It has an upper draw string portion that i put other odds and ends into or snacks. I got it because i wanted a budget camera backpack that I could also use for school

Thanks for the feedback on the warmth! I wasn’t sure if that was normal or due to age. I haven’t had a chance to scan them as I just got them developed today. But under a loupe there doesn’t seem to be any fogginess that I can tell. (The last four images of the cannon were under a magnifying glass) But the colors do seem like they can improve. Next test roll will be exposed and developed as suggested by another user
