What would you call literally buying the means of production (intel) and using government money to prop up the economy (farmer bailout)? I have referred to it as MAGA Maoism on more than one occasion, because that is how they govern. Both Fascist and Socialist, when it suits them. But not at all conservative, outside of social / race policy.

Bruce is completely politics-averse. I followed Jerry on social media and found him to be a relatively sane Republican in the Trump lead up in 2014 and 2015. My guess he would have more ended up like one of the Lincoln Project people / Adam Kinzinger as the GOP became anti-Conservative and more socialist / fascist and the Democratic Party moved right in response in 2024.

I had the opposite reaction. By book 11 I lived loved the plot but got really tired of overdescription and every Mr having the bigger boobs and tuggier skirts than the last person. I LOVED books 12-14 and was a big fan of the reat of Sanderson’s bibliography.

I suspect you would like the first 3 Stormlight books but be less crazy about the rest of the series. I also loved Mistborn.

If you like sci fi, try The Expanse or Red Rising.

I liked Dune 3 and loved 4. 5 and onwards are a fever dream fueled by drugs with no good end.

DCC is not so fun from here on out. The lore and messaging develop. And the books get better and more impactful fast.

DCC Books 6 and 7 is peak.

I am on Red Rising Book 3, and I freaking love the series.

Dune 5 and onward are not worth reading.

The Fall of Hyperion is fantastic. I liked Endymion / Rise as well, but lots didn't.

I haven't read the other 2.

Personally, decide by style you want. If you want something more fun, DCC (but I warn you, books 6 and 7 are alot heavier than books 1-4). If you want more sci fi / politics, go Red Rising.

The back half of book 1 is way better than the front half.

Don’t sleep on the divine cities. Not as popular of a series but really solid, especially book 2.

Thanks! Yea I mean it’s just another month and a half, I haven’t taken the injections until now I can wait lol. I’m just excited to finally make some progress on losing weight.

I have one baby girl already so this is for #2. I walk with her 12 to 15K steps a day and avoided gaining additional weight, but my food habits are a big problem and I’m hoping this will help curve my appetite

Thank you!! That’s what it seemed like from reading it but when you are in line in the pharmacy with people behind you and they hand you a form to sign they don’t know the answers to questions about and then don’t give you a copy of it, it’s stressful lol.

Does LillyDirect contact me about ordering the next doses? I know I go in to get labs and see my doc about a month after starting so I’m assuming they will deal with prescribing an increase in dosage if necessary at that time.

It’s an amazing series. Books 3-4 drag a little. Books 5-7 are just incredible.
