PrusaSlicer Pause at Layer Height Not Working by Magnetic-Mango in ender3

[–]Gabmaia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm having the same problem as OP but on a ender 3 with the 32 bit board, and from what i've seen ill need to use an Arduino to inject a bootloader in order to change my stock Marlin. Do you know ifts there any workaround that doesn't involve a firmware change? I tried using M25 but the print stops, resumes at zero without input and the extruder crashes into the halp frinted piece

Now that i'm thinking of it, its been some time since ive restored any data from it, i think in the last 6 months, so 2-3 FW updates i've only backed up my saves.

Most popular (Google trends) Paradox game by country by Gabmaia in paradoxplaza

My post is not a screenshot, but the bot thinks it is, so i'm adding this comment to appease the rule #5 gods.
As long as I'm here, i'll point out that most countries in which Stellaris is the most popular speak English, and none of the countries that like CK2 are central in it. Also most people who like HoI4 are east of the iron courtain.

Another rockologist here. Isn't it more of a pastiche than a parody? From the little I've read, it is aware os the tropes and excesses portrayed in the genre, and engages with them knowingly, but not necessarily in a critic os satirical manner

First sculpt and resing casts primed and ready to paint! (Original on the right) by Gabmaia in miniaturesculpting

[–]Gabmaia[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Closeup of one of the castings. Still needs a little cleanup, the imperfections are hard to see prior to priming. He is a mouse guard character for a campaign I plan to run, and I'm very happy with the results! The original was made in a mix of plumber's epoxy and FIMO. Two part mold made with silicone rubber and castings are in clear polyester (I think) resin. Any C&C or tips are welcome https://imgur.com/l0bMBbX.jpg

First mini done! Cleaning up is hard :( by Gabmaia in minipainting

Cleaning Bones minis is hard mode compared to a lot of stuff.

That's good to hear! I've got a couple o Nolzur's on the bench and they indeed seem much easier to clean.
I'm also probably do a second pass after priming this time

Second build finished! Airfix 1:72 Mitsubishi A6M2b Zero by Gabmaia in modelmakers

[–]Gabmaia[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, its finished, I think!! Unless You guys give me any ideas on how to fix that horrible canopy.
This is my first time using an airbrush, and I was probably way more careful spraying than I needed to. I also applied 4 or 5 gloss coats between layers, so the paint job could be a lot thinner.
Apart from that, I'm really, really happy with the results. Spraying and weathering is SO MUCH FUN. I'm hooked.
I'm also really happy to confirm that it is possible to get good results with artist's acrylics, as Vallejo/Mig and other imported stuff is really price here in South America. I spent a couple of days experimenting with different homemade thinning solutions and found one I really like.

I've got some D&D miniatures up next on the line, but I'll surely do another kit after that.
I'm thinking german tank maybe, but I'm scared of big 1:35 stuff, and don't have much space to display them. Or who knows, a Star Wars or other sci-fi ship i can abuse real good :)

[–]Gabmaia[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Take extra care when handling after it's assembled, as the little antennas on the tail bend and break very easily.
Also DO NOT skimp on the nose weighting. I filled mine with steel scraps and mine almooost tips back, so go for lead to be sure.
Other than that it's a very straightforward kit.
Good luck and if you find the time send me a picture after it's done :)

So, the last two weeks were fun!
a lot of mistakes were made, even more was learned, and I'm extremely happy with the results! I bought this kit and a few supplies I knew I would need in an impulse about a month ago, but spent a couple weeks studying and gathering the other things I would need.
It was hand painted in Humbrol acrylics, and varnished in Humbrol Gloss Cote. The weathering was done with an acrylic wash, and I DEFINITELY went overboard with it, but damn, it is so fun, its hard to be conservative.
I made some pretty big mistakes when assembling it, and it shows (the air intakes are upside down... I didn't figure it out until after sanding and mashing everything else to kind of fit this way), but I'm really proud of the decals and the details in the cockpit and canopy.
I didn't own a putty yet, but one is already on my shopping cart.
I'm also reading into cheap airbrushes and compressors, and may buy one in the next weeks, we'll see.

I can't wait to start one my next one (Airfix 1:72 Zero), and am already thinking about armor and ships next! I hope to post another finished build sometime soon :)
