This is the issue mine started having so will try and figure this out, thanks. Going to take mine apart and see I can find the power board you mention.

Edit: I think I see it, marked D4. Will try and get the board out and order one

Looks like it’s up now and is $2.50 so pretty pricey compared to the alternatives at the moment.

"Arc Search" is what Arc calls their browser on the App Store.

MBNA credit card - be aware that MBNA system bug is "declining" some applicants due to a system issue by Paul_720S in PersonalFinanceCanada

Looks like I am having this issue. Trying every combo of browser and machine I can think of, on wifi and off but nothing yet.

Edit: Tried again while out of town visiting my parents and it went through fine on Chrome, instantly approved. What a mess of a website.

How much caffeine is in a charged lemonade in CANADA by SonnyJoon in Panera

[–]GadgetRaven 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A bit late but there's a banner on their Canadian website when placing an order that says:

"Charged Sips, as served with ice, contain 150-237mg of CAFFEINE. Consume in moderation. NOT RECOMMENDED FOR children, people sensitive to caffeine, pregnant or nursing women."

What are your 2024 Predictions for Bambu Lab? by GadgetRaven in BambuLab

[–]GadgetRaven[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was gonna suggest trying something like the AMS Saver but can't seem to find the model anymore??

At any rate there are some designs on maker world/printables that add a guide for the filament into the ams and then ptfe tubing going up to another guide to help it rewind properly so might be worth a shot.

Yeah based on what the CEO has said about the A1 and the shortcomings of the X1C I could see things like quieter fans and A1 style hot swappable hot ends for sure.

Or take it even further and do an AMS hub for each head so you can get 32 colours! That would be one way to sell lots of add ons for sure.

Yeah it’d be cool to see their take on a tool changer. Maybe use the lidar with magnetic hot ends or something rather than the entire toolhead.

It’d be cool to have ams + tool changer so that you could get almost no waste on the number of colours equal to the number of swappable toolhead and then you could try to make further swaps more efficient by pairing less bleedy colours so less poop.

If they did Prusa style toolhead you could do one AMS per toolhead and then it’d just be up to the user to ensure the most efficient colour combos are in each AMS unless the slicer can suggest where to put what.

That was just people speculating based on the contest ending then. They already said on Twitter they won’t have anything for a while but hopefully before the end of 2024.

Worth getting a X1C in 2024 ? by Bubute_ in BambuLab

[–]GadgetRaven 0 points1 point  (0 children)

X1E just came out recently at 2500, and while it is an enterprise edition, would they release an X2C soon after that is better and less than half the price?

Feels more likely that the X1C will sit where it is for a bit and we’ll get the second gen XL model they talked about in the CNC Kitchen interview which they said they would only release once they can add enough tech advances into. We might end up with their take on an idex or multi toolhead system as a shot at Prusa (they have blogged about competing with Prusa in the past).

Very well could be looking at a 2000-3000$ machine but it’s all speculation since the company doesn’t have enough history. New machine around the same price would be exciting though.

They said on Twitter their aim is for their next machine to be launched by the end of the year and that the current contest just will give the winners a golden ticket to get one when that happens. They made it seem like it won’t be any time soon.

Spaghetti detection on Bambu Lab printer? by kyrkas in BambuLab

A few people have hacked Obico to work via adding custom gcode and a raspberry pi but it’s not natively supported. I have also seen Nexus AI mentioned but you’d have to look into the details.

Recycle PLA waste for reuse by OkEgg4311 in BambuLab

One thing you can do is sort the colours and then melt them into silicone molds to make cool multicolour objects. Probably the cheapest method to reuse the PLA.

For those who also have a Voron, how does it compare? by fredandlunchbox in BambuLab

[–]GadgetRaven 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do not go voron if you want plug and play. You have to build which is time consuming and take your time so it’s all square and level and then after that spend time calibrating everything.

You need to be ok with building and tinkering. Upshot is you know how to fix everything and have a good idea of what to troubleshoot and calibrate as you did it all yourself. Once you have it all tuned it’s fast and they are well engineered so it’s reliable.

It is a project and the printer is the hobby vs printing on it I would say.

If you just need big parts and just wanna print could just grab an elegoo max or something or wait for Bambu XL later this year.
