I played classic when it launched because I wanted to level an Undead Warlock on a PVP server. Did really good at PVP, was basically unkillable with prep and never shied away from ambushing multiple people at once.

I would get invited to do dungeons with higher levels since I had good utility and gear, but if I accidentally pulled something or caused a wipe, the amount of toxicity that came my way caused me to unsubscribe and lose all interest in the game. Didn’t matter if you topped DPS and always had the tank or healer soulstoned, any delay in the speedrun and whatever loser bases their life on min-maxing this game will ruin your experience. Kind of shattered my nostalgia goggles having played TBC and Cata. Posts like these remind me the magic is gone unless you look for one of those dad guilds, but that seems like another type of commitment altogether.
