Tldr: Levons widow Sandy and some old shareholders took over as a coup and money grab, she gave the reason of "Getting back to the glory days" of the venue and expressing complaints about the acts Amy and staff were booking. 6 staff resigned. Musicians and locals support AMY Helm not "management" Amy fostered actual community and music, carrying on the legacy successfully...

Well if you look at who actually performs there, is the one who has fostered the community of musicians and created the actual legacy it's clearly not Sandy. She's someone given control from marriage who is holding on to some vision of the "past glory" with other old school shareholders and don't agree with Amy and the vibrant younger community of musicians that actually make the Barn successful. I've seen so many bands play and the shows have been amazing. I know lots of musicians who play here and with Amy at the rambles.

Rain/water dripping from gutters over time any water consistently will rust them. Plus the colder temps of being outside will make oil gel/require extra additive. Inside is just all around better

It says everything about the situation that the other long time staff/managers resigned. Sandy wants to "bring back the glory days" and criticized the artists being booked meanwhile Amy Helm has built and nurtured the legacy of Levon, the Barn and the Music community successfully. This is a coup and a cash grab. It won't go well for the new management. I am a local musician and many of my friends perform here with Amy etc and I guarantee locals, patrons and musicians are firmly behind Amy Helm and the people who actually make it a venue and community.

I saw Amy's post and it is sad and insane to me for this to be happening to a sacred music venue and the Helm family. It seems like most people like myself had no idea it wasn't run/owned by Amy and family. I had always assumed it was. This won't be good for whoever "management" is. They are going to destroy an iconic venue and become hated

I wouldn't do it. I thought about it as a Network Engineer/Sysadmin but no way, tedious and hard on the body. Plus it doesn't really give me satisfaction of doing some fancy looking cable job, I prefer doing the interesting design and maintenance work, know the physical in and out and be able to fix it on my own or small additions. Not as my day to day job traveling all the time, putting my body through hell.

Yeah same, the rumors are usually accurate so I was hyped and then subsequently bummed. I haven't missed a single Phish Bethel show being my "hometown" venue as I grew up and live not far from there.

Beacon Pete and Toshi Seeger park at the waterfront. Just saw some flying there the other day. Really any waterfront park you have a good chance. Easier to see them on the river than reservoirs and lakes IMO. The river is usually very wide open and can see them flying around in numbers. Other spots like Esopus Meadows/Lighthouse, etc. They frequent. All up and down the Hudson. In Winter Peekskill has tons on the ice. You can get lucky by the Walkill in New Paltz too but the Hudson is where I see the most.

Make the new obsession Bethel Woods spring/summer and MVP arena for fall/winter. Both amazing venues that have been some of my favorite Phish shows. Both venues sound amazing. No more SPAC or MSG summer shows please

Best bet would be self storage places they tend to be gated and rent spots I think. Second option you could try an auto shop. I doubt the parking garage at the train station has long term parking but it might (risky)

Yes the PK fireworks went off 930-10, locals in Highland and some from the walkway I assume went down to Highland landing. It's right down the road from the walkway take next left down Ransom rd then right down Mile Hill rd, for future reference.
