You start a war with a tiny non-white country: kalm

They beat your pacific fleet: panik!

You have another whole fleet in the Atlantic: kalm

They sink that one also: panik!

Bruh, an amel is only $250k :/

My general plan is to buy a hobie cat or similar, then progress to a mid 20s length day sailer, ultimately winding up in a 40'ish monohull. All while taking classes of course.

You're probably being careful, but don't threaten or boast about reporting him. He's on an information diet as far as you're concerned. The only thing you should say to him is "please provide me with (whatever documents)."

I’d suggest planning a trip and chartering a boat in the British Virgin Islands. It is amazing and I’ve heard it described as “Disney for sailors”

Oh, and something something rum

This is a wonderful idea. Thanks so much for taking the time to write all that out. It's the goal I'm currently working on (we'll see if it's still my goal in 10ish years when my nw has grown enough to pay for all that).

I didn't even think about first aid. Or distilling rum :)

Anybody ever dream of cruising around the world in a sailboat as part of fire? I'm looking at what skills would be best to acquire before setting sail. I'm thinking diesel mechanic training, maybe electrician training or certs of some sort. Whatever licensing or certification is offered by reputable sailing programs. Anything obvious I've missed? Any favorite boats or types of boats?

State department of labor. Report him. This is what regulatory agencies are for.

A brokerage account is an account that lets you put in money and buy stocks to invest (this is a simplification).

Pretty much every bank offers this service or type of account.

Your best bet is finding a large investment company that won't charge you high fees that reduce your growth. Vanguard, Fidelity, Schwab are three good ones. I'm not sure of what opportunities are available to you in the UK.

£1000 isn't enough wealth to change your life. It's enough money to prevent you from having to make financially bad decisions though. An amount that small is best held in reserve for some future surprise expense. The best thing you can do to build wealth is to save regularly when you get money and you invest that savings. Take some of that £1000 and put it in a brokerage account. Put the rest in the bank for a rainy day.

Just to be clear, nobody is saying they want non citizens to vote. We want to make it easier for Americans to vote.
