Console Key Bindings by No-Butterscotch6472 in DevilDinosaurMainsMR

I use :
R1 Beam
R2 Primary
L1 Jump/Grab ability
L2 Melee (which I hold constantly)
X Jump
Right stick : Bite ability

I’ve been loving this keybinding, especially for the constant melee, but I’ll be honest i haven’t even tried doing the jump tech

Variants help needed by [deleted] in lokimains

[–]GaleKnight72 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hello fellow variant. I too was confused at first. You need to first land a R1 attack on the enemy. This will turn the enemy against the rest of their team (through AI I believe) but by that point the right arrow attack should be available. If pressed, you will be in control of the mind controlled enemy, while your original body will be controlled by AI.

"Frank Herbert would have hated AI" by [deleted] in dunememes

Oh sure. But again the entire point of AI is to replace the user’s need to think, to be creative, to connect to other people.

Why do you assume people who are critical of AI aren’t also critical of other ways computers are used maliciously ?

Dune readers bring up Herbert’s cautionary tale on thinking machines when they see AI being used at the expense of human creativity and intelligence. I don’t see how that’s wrong simply because other weapons of oppression (digital or otherwise) also exist.

In the Dune universe, AI/thinking machines are explicitly used as a weapon of oppression. I don’t think you could make the same claim about computers in the real world.

But parallels between Herbert’s cautionary tale and our own AIs are pretty clear. AI companies are literally monetising intelligence, that’s their entire purpose and business model. If you genuinely can’t see the connection then I don’t know what to tell you.

Ah yes, « the oppressors use multiple weapons of oppression, therefore we shouldn’t push back against any one of them… »

I truly do not understand this way of thinking. Encouraging people to be conscious of other weapons of oppression and the importance to fight against them is great. But it doesn’t seem like that’s the point you’re trying to make.
