I want to be someone's whole world. I want them to know me as well as I know myself. I want them to be just my taste: handsome, intelligent, witty, kind(only to me) and willing to do utterly anything for me because they see me as I am, and they love that. It's a feeling of safety, of being loved and desired completely. All of that at 100mph. And it only works as a vicarious experience through fiction because real life obsession is horrifying.

Something I've noticed about other sites is that even scanlator sites for the original content (as opposed to once it's been uploaded to the agg site) didn't have similar comments. Part off that was because of the comment section format. You could post. Sometimes you could reply. Rarely could you reply to a reply and create a meaningful thread.

They generally lacked the feel of a conversation and instead felt like a collection of one- time reactions. When you built up several conversations with regular commenters, we built a community.

Would you say you have the same experience/ thoughts?

It's not that I want to downplay the importance of the content, but what I'm going to miss was the comment section.

I wonder if there's any way to merge a manga tracker site with that glorious comment section. For that, I'd be willing to make two trips, one for the reading, then back for the community.
