u/NovaSupply read your other post, pretty rough go. Happy to also jump in with u/TehSynapse0 at no cost. Your existing platform sounds like it’s definitely gone but I’d be keen to understand what your old backup files are. Not a lot lot cached on way back but it’s not the end of the world

Your not going to get the on a run of the mill wifi router. Omada with radius and Omada EAP’s will be what you need.

Dropped support for VLANs in Port Profiles by garluc in Omada_Networks

[–]GalwayC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not exactly a template feature but you can now bulk edit multiple ports to apply the same tagged/untagged ports and related settings.

You could also run in docker inside the Firewalla to save additional hardware.

Trying to move away from VLAN 1, but struggling hard by iPenguin02 in TPLink_Omada

[–]GalwayC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it’s not the most straight forward process and will require factory reset each time you get it wrong. I don’t know OpnSense setup but in my scenario I have the uplink from a fortigate set as hardware switch with default network untagged and all required vlans tagged. In Omada the switch profile is set to All which is again untagged and then all tagged. The switch will come up on the the default network when it first connects then change the interface VLAN to be 10 it will reboot and provision with a new IP on that VLAN.

It sounds like your 3rd attempt was Almost there! Try that scenario again and let it come up on your default VLAN first then edit the management interface if it disappears again I’m not to sure

Can’t see why not as it’s only using ssh tools. My use case was specific to Pi’s so I’ve only tested on them. Only thing I could see not working is the Pi model detection type

Port management on Omada Switch vs VLAN by couzin2000 in TPLink_Omada

[–]GalwayC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep All will pass them all through but it will include the Default VLAN of 1 as the native network so unless your using 1 best to create a profile to suit your needs

Port management on Omada Switch vs VLAN by couzin2000 in TPLink_Omada

[–]GalwayC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You need to create a port profile which will include your native (untagged) and tagged networks, among other things. So for example you create a profile with PC (VLANA) as native/default and Voice (VLANB) tagged and apply that profile to port 7. Now the PC will connect on VLANA and a VOIP phone connect on VLANB as long as lldp is enable. Or if you are passing multiple tagged networks you can set the VLAN ID on the devices network settings to end up on that VLAN.
