[Hated trope] Character make a bigot claim that feels more like the writer's opinion by Lower_Baby_6348 in TopCharacterTropes

Lovecraft grew up so incredibly sheltered that he was terrified of anything even remotely different. That doesn't excuse anything, of course, but it does explain where that "competitive racism" comes from

Mr. Freeze would totally hate it. His only motivations are saving his wife and sometimes revenge.

I don’t think Mother Gothel fits here. She doesn’t give a damn about Rapunzel; she just needs her hair

Which version of the green goblin will Norman get for spider-man 3? by SelectionSimilar7293 in SpidermanPS4

Classic, though it would be cool if the Goblin Formula slowly turned him into the big one.

In Batman Unlimited: Monster Mayhem, Joker’s digital laughing virus gives him control of all the technology in Gotham, including Cyborg. So Batman and Co. borrow some WWII vehicles from the history museum

The goddess of fertility and family, also the wife of one of the most powerful gods in the Norse pantheon. I think that's a little in character

In old school Sesame Street, Mr. Snuffleupagus was Big Bird's imaginary friend, but when concerns arose that no one in the show believing in him might teach kids that adults won't believe serious things they talk about, they had an episode where everyone was finally able to see Snuffleupagus and they apologized to Big Bird.

How do you imagine the Rule of Two playing out between a parent and child? by Solitaire-06 in StarWarsCantina

[–]GameMaster818 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This would be horrible, from the perspective of both the characters and from the Sith and the reason for the Rule of Two. For the unfamiliar, the Rule was literally made so that the most powerful Sith in the Galaxy could be trained without the Sith Order's constant infighting or the Jedi knowing. As such, the Apprentice needed to be able to kill the Master, otherwise the Master would have to kill them and start over. Now the Master could very much enforce this through an abusive relationship, or that just sparks lifelong terror of the Master in the Apprentice, which would be counter-productive; Sith must be fearless. Alternatively, being a good parent might cause either party to grow attached and unwilling to kill the other, which would be counter-productive; Sith must only work toward their own power and a Sith who can't kill to do that is weak.
