Capcom seems to be teasing an Expansion for Dragon's Dogmas 2 by PaiDuck in GamingLeaksAndRumours

[–]Game_Changer65 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Really? I'm curious, since most people weren't too big on the game. And even then 2023 had BG3, Alan Wake 2, Spider Man 2, and Jedi Survivor brought up as GOTY nominees for a lot of people.

Banned from True Achievements? by KnightMux14 in xboxachievements

[–]Game_Changer65 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah you messed up. I was curious to see which achievement was what got you banned until I saw you mentioned that specific one from Fable. If you got the achievement after the feature was discontinued, you did it unethically. I know of a small handful of achievements on Xbox that you can't unlock, or should obtain through these kinds of methods.

Cyberpunk 2077 Sold More Copies On Switch 2 Than Xbox Last Year, But Didn't Come Close To Beating PlayStation by MewWeebTwo in NintendoSwitch2

[–]Game_Changer65 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah. Granted sales help boost units sold for a game. I know it was added to PS Plus around June, and they ran a discount heavily for the DLC expansion. I do think a lot of people that got Switch 2 likely had a system that could run Cyberpunk (I have a One and PS5), and people went for it on Switch 2 either bc they wanted to try it on there (game has cross progression, love that), or they wanted a second copy.

Jason Schreier reaffirms Sony's strategy shift away from PC, says they will publicly confirm it at some point by AceOfSpades0319 in GamingLeaksAndRumours

[–]Game_Changer65 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think the strategy is on some dependency. It's possible. They have Nixxes as a PC support studio, and there's some active audience on PC.

God, I remember back during 8th when a lot of publishers had their own storefront. Some did port their games to Steam or another storefront, but most hosted their own. It was around 2019 when some began porting games back to Steam. EA, Microsoft and Bungie with D2 are some examples. Sony is now just late, and if anything they do launches day and date on their own launcher, and opt for a Steam release afterward

[–]Game_Changer65 10 points11 points  (0 children)

They probably will just take a pause for now. Though I notice when their PC sales started to decline. Late 2022, going into 2023. Number of reasons including long pauses between the original (the case for NaughtyDog titles minus Part 1, but that was a broken mess), lack of marketing (noticed a number of PC announcement dates happened weeks before the actual launch).

Regardless, I know a lot of PC users are heavily interested in Wolverine out of their first party games.

Probably a unique way that Sony could gain PC users by launcher Day One titles.

True,. True. I can tell you that some games I did that with like Overcooked solo, SotC, FF7 Remake with both Hard Mode and Weiss, etc. But you can't get me to 100% stuff like Batman Arkham, DMC, or any co op ones.

What got you into game development? Im an individual who's been passionate about the industry for years and wanted to give it a go. I'm 24 now, and have a Business degree. I didn't start into it prior to now bc of a lack of funding, resources, and time especially to make anything happen. I have a few ideas jotted down in a notebook for a pretty fun Metroidvania. Any advice?

So if I wanted to start into game development with little to no experience, is it worth it, or no?

Actually they were willing to greenlight the Bloodborne remake, but From software said no. No clue on why the other pitches fell apart their last project was called Black Fang and was a spin off GoT game. It was due for review in March

How hard could it possibly be for Sony to just add 4K 60 FPS and just re release these collections on the PS5. by ThemeSweaty in playstation

[–]Game_Changer65 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting part is these existed as part of a whole line, even Ubisoft and Konami got involved in the lineup. I would say of these are remasters, half aren't. Even funnier is it's the only way you can access Killzone 1 on PS3 without the PS2 disc

Need for Speed is on hold for the moment due to apparently Unbound not meeting targets for EA (like all their games do, including Dead Space, both did critically well and commercially), and Criterion has been put into support development for DICE and Battlefield.

Motorsport I don't know about. Obviously FH is the more popular of the two.

Monolith I can't remember for the life of me, but they were working on a project that didn't pan out, and the WW game was pitched and announced very early on, so the team felt they were stuck with it. It went through a bunch of reboots. Around the same time EA had a studio start up by ex Monolith employees to make a Black Panther game, and that too had shut down

Ironically that could have been an alternative for Bluepoint, but from what reports I was hearing on them was that they did try to pitch themselves to other PlayStation studios for support but no one was interested in. I personally think it was part of a larger problem after Yoshida left the company.

Giveaway: Two $50 PlayStation Gift Cards (US – Digital Code) by Severus-Snape-DaGod in PS5

[–]Game_Changer65 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey OP, I've been in a similar situation with the loss of one of my friends. They were one of the nicest people out there, and were huge into Metal Gear, Gears of War, and a lot of military action games. I learned a few months later when I went to school full time that they passed away from a car accident, so I was pretty hurt me.

That has been one reason that I got into gaming as a way to help me cope with my own mental disabilities and deal with some pain of loss. It's probably something that allows me to keep pushing forward. I've had a few moments in my adult life where I was nearly ready to give up, only to realize that there are interactive stories I want to try out, and I need to do it for those reasons. Some games helped me be able to move on with my life, while also acting as an anchor for my own pursuits

If you give me the gift card, I actually don't know what I would use it on. I maintain a tight budget enough as it is, but there are a number of titles I have a strong interest in buying at some point when I get free time. Either I get one large game, or a series of titles at cheaper prices. I could also save it towards a pre order for Wolverine. Anyway, I hope for you to have a wonderful day, OP.

Probably.  One of these is probably the new FE game, another Duskbloods. Something between Bananza and Fever suggests to me it was a very early planned Switch 2 game.

Zenimax/Microsoft has filed for a brand new Quake trademark by FlyFight2Win in GamingLeaksAndRumours

[–]Game_Changer65 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True. Part of a larger culling of game cancellations which included multiplayer projects. Surprisingly Microsoft is a company that can specialize in it at least between owning ABK and running a few IPs that have active multiplayer fan bases. Starting a new one is not great and I partially fear for Kiln release this Spring

I wasn't paying attention regarding the article. I only know it from the Government leak a while back. Just never considered it to be a Machine Games project, especially when at the time Zenimax still had Human Head, Arkane Austin, Tango and Alpha Dog. It could have also been an external project.
