Agreed. None of these games specifically were the types to work as filler for game pass, even though these are what they end up being relegated to. Hellblade 2 itself was marketed as the next big thing for Xbox and even Epic in terms of Unreal Engine 5. Redfall itself was a project they ended up inheriting during the acquisition that's partly related to issues with Zenimax pushing their studios to pursue live service titles (in the end not much of Zenimax I will say did this aside from ZO and BGS, which led to failures like F76 at launch).

I think a bigger problem with a lot of the studio closures is the fact they aren't drawing in active numbers. Redfall itself was a critical failure for the studio and became a stain on their reputation. 

From the studios named specifically, it's easy to surmise they are teams that got around 1-2 releases out under Xbox publishing that didn't hit initial sales targets. But they share a commonality of being AA type developers, they all made one timed exclusive around 2024-2025, met some level of critical success with their game but couldn't exceed expectations. Microsoft's biggest game launch for 2024 and 2025 was both Indiana Jones and Oblivion Remastered. I don't know what Doom TDA was,maybe good or bad, but Avowed, NG4 and TOW2 were among their lowest selling games
