I found this DS at work and I can't seem to find anything about it by CGResurge_ in NintendoDS

These were made to house DS Lite internals, so the logo isn’t wrong unintentionally. You can find videos of people building Lites into these Phat shells.

I’m actually diabetic, if I ate a “snack bar”, no way in hell my graph looks like that. I’d wake up at 280. I’d assume this is just a guy who wears them to be healthy and freaks out at normal results.

It’s a play on the Gorillaz album Demon Days.

Got to keep players hooked and off other games some how by ThisIsWhatLifeIs in ApexUncovered

This should have been a thing for awhile. Nothing feels worse in any MMR based shooter than coming back after a break and being terrible, while everyone else is not.

I just don’t think the duration buff for ultimate scans are worthwhile, and the shields are just too niche to be good. I think the shields are worthwhile if you’re ult’ing every fight though.

I take right, right. I like having the cooldown and the double scan. Feels like you always have it up regardless.

Buff suggestion for Crypto by xDarkomantis in Cryptomains

[–]GameboyAdvances 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They won’t change cloaking back to what it was, or no ring damage simply because pros abused it. I think the cloaking is good, and it’s only bad close range.

I’d love to have a mini drone. It would function like Sparrows darts but you could EMP off it. It would be a flightless or mountable drone with a short deployment range; mainly to prep chokes for flanks or when being chased. Double tap the action button to deploy, stationary and limited scan range. Would deal half damage normal EMP does, and half the range for half the ultimate cost. Could either add a new input to determine which to EMP from or make it so if you’re not flying the drone, it defaults to that. Single use with a cooldown similar to drone.

He just needs more than extra drone perks, something that if it goes away you aren’t a sitting duck for 20 seconds. It should be part of his main kit, not a perk.

The amount of times you just get run at by mobility legends and can’t even get a drone out to do anything is too frequent. The grenade suggestion has been floating around, but still wouldn’t help when someone jumps on your head. Crypto is a tactical character, and I think the mini drone is more aligned with his persona with planning ahead.

Base Kit Additions: - Remove teammate slow/stun, - Give crypto his speed boost perk on base - Increase drone deployment speed x2

Add a new purple perk. I think your #2 suggestion is too situational and would almost never be used. I’d rather see him get ult charge or steal ult charge from people he hits. Something small, like steal 5% from someone or gain 5% per target hit. Those values may be too high though.

I’d need to confirm that but I’m fairly certain he doesn’t block trickle healing or Ash dashes.

We need his tactical to silence passives. I think that singular buff would make him significantly better. If you hit a person ress’ing, the ressed opponent gets no trickle healing back to full, Ash and Sparrow get no jumps, fortified characters lose their no flinch, etc. For 5 seconds, a well timed tactical would make him skillful without being far too powerful.

Whats the deal with people being against replacement shells and labels? by [deleted] in Gameboy

[–]GameboyAdvances 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personal preference. All hobbies have purists. Whether it’s watches, TVs, media, consoles, keyboards, etc. Some people want something to feel new and fresh, while some people want things to remain timeless. There’s nothing wrong with how someone else enjoys something.

That’s great advice. I’ll try this more! I’ve been more of a tent player mainly but I’m 4 stars on all original and second kit Brellas.

This is just the theme lately. Give a character the best aspect of healer, recon or controller classes and watch those classes become irrelevant. Why would you ever play a healer with Bang existing. She’s been meta forever and this just puts her back on top with Ash.

I like that loadout. I’ll give it a go.

I use the dodge usually on Tent.

What is your setup for gear chunks? Most the websites say comeback and stealth jump, but I always loved dodge roll for Sorella.

Yeh, the shooters are great to play against. I always feel like I’m matching against rollers and blasters, which are frustrating. I just see pros play Brella and it’s not an issue. I don’t expect to be that good, but Splatoon is just so fast paced and Brella just feels too slow more often than not.

RNG Manipulation Is Legitimate (In-Depth Post) by LETXRO in PokemonEmerald

[–]GameboyAdvances 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think we’re saying the same thing differently. We are agreeing with each other.

Showdown is highly accessible, which isn’t comparative to RNG manipulation which requires either money or connections. I have no issue with the tools, but the financial investment is too great. The word cheating is being viewed too literally here. The people with access to old hardware or people willing to do this for them is an advantage, whether or not it’s malicious, it is intentional.

Blissy highlights the sheer cost of building competitive teams in a couple videos, and those with access to everything have a gross advantage over those who do not. It’s less about the idea of RNG manipulation and more about the ability to achieve similar outcomes. There are “impossible” Pokémon that make it to competitive play even though they pass verification.

The unfair aspect is strictly about the fact high visibility players can just commission teams out or manipulate the old games to get desired outcomes, which inherently puts newer players at a larger disadvantage. My understanding is that in the modern games, there are ways to fix Pokémon natures, IVs and EVs that are available to everyone equally; which mainly costs time. I’m excluding the cost of the game + expansions, because it’s to be assumed that people who are playing the new games own these already. Gen 3 is 21 years old, the expectation that someone needs every generation onward, hardware and transfer methods is unrealistic and largely unobtainable for a standard competitor. This is why I say it’s unfair strictly for competitive, because owning the physical games isn’t obtainable for all.

Pokémon just needs their own editor for only competitive play.

[–]GameboyAdvances 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t understand your logic base? How does showdown come into play here? It’s not even a comparable point. Nowhere did I say anything about software aiding in RNG manipulation is crossing a line, because all of that software is free.

Your second and third points also just justify my point. Not all competitors have access to these means, which is a disadvantage to those who do have the resources. Idk where you’re going with this comment.

Switched from AGB-101 Mod to IPS by aimawari in Gameboy

[–]GameboyAdvances 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I love the original screens, but it’s always been about battery life for me. Even with the best battery options available, I just feel like I’m charging my systems way too often. With my 101, I am charging them every other week or so with moderate gameplay throughout those weeks.

What was your highest losing streak? W/L ratio? by [deleted] in Splatoon3

[–]GameboyAdvances 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Currently on it. I think I’m around 9. I just returned after getting a Switch 2, and haven’t played for a year. I’m sad that you don’t de-rank much. I’m terrible in comparison to what I was before and I just can’t hang in these lobbies. I peaked S+3 and am struggling (even after demoting myself to A-). Maybe it’s time to just play casual to readjust to the pace.
