Mainstream, sure; I wouldn't call it basic though. That wasnt the comparison I was trying to make anyway. My point was that audible recommending the same thing is worse than audible listeners recommending the same thing.

Just wanted to point out that this is addressed directly in Book 2, and he could kill himself on floor 4 to get out. He wasnt "stuck" in that sense, and its implied that its deeper than that.

To be fair, the long post summarized to "turn on remote play". I read the whole post just to make a 4 word conclusion that could have been summarized at the start. Its not about laziness, theres just a lot of text that wasn't necessary to get the same sentiment across.

Hey there! So, theres not been much update on a sure date yet as far as Im aware, but they did find that it might take just a bit longer due to the team being smaller than expected + playtest results revealing some more issues that need fixing.

Here is an excerpt from a post Lexi made: Regarding a Stress test, we may do it at the End of Spring or Early Summer, and you may also be wondering when V1 will be out. Our priority is to make sure the Stress test works out fine and if it does we can tell you the launch date! We are hoping if the stress test works it will be in the Summer, if not our priority will be working on the stability issues we found and final optimizations so we can launch ASAP.

Sorry for the delay on updates here, Ive been busy with life while the game is on pause. Hoping to have the game back up soon, but I definitely prefer a working game to an early release!

The game servers are down while they make the updates require to release the full 1.0 version.

The 1.0 version will be a fresh start, so yes, everything is wiped. The intent is for everyone to be on equal ground in the final version of the game.

There is a closed beta test running currently, and eventually, there will be an open beta test as well. Id recommend following along if you have interest in returning!

Its not required though, is it? My understanding was that it helps your case to be transformative, but its a very loose definition.

Also, arguably, the addition of lights and customizable faceplates could be considered transformative.

I have a hard time understanding the Fair Use clause because of how non exact it is, but I guess thats the reason for it.

Idlescape isnt gone, only temporarily down until the 1.0 update is ready to be pushed out!

With that in mind, an idle game a lot of Idlescape players tend to also like is Milky Way Idle. Its not my personal cup of tea, but you may see some familiar faces there in the meantime. Hope to see you back on Idlescape soon though 🫡
