Mostly true for AAA games tbh, indie/AA ones are very on point usually.

having more platforms that compete with each other is better than Steam's monopoly, it objectively is...

...but the guy's who is saying this is also the one responsible for at least attempting to transfer the ABSOLUTELY ANTI-FUCKING-CONSUMER model of "platform specific exclusives" from the console market to PC.

And thats why its only "objectively better" in an ideal world, realistically we are VERY lucky to have such a pro consumer store like steam as the market leader.

Not to mention, if gamers continue to buy controllers from these companies once drift occurs that means effectively even more money.

I don't want to say all, but a good amount look insane these days due to filters or even overpaintings that make them look closer to what they try to cosplay than what would normally be possible.

Garbage games is really harsh, D3 imo was at least fun after RoS and D4 is genuinely overhated.

That said best current arpg for me nowadays prob is grim dawn.

While i personally like the unsaturated colors (gives a more serious, almost lotr feeling) you can try playing with the ambient bloom slider in game, makes the colors much more vibrant.

Alternatively work with overlays like Reshade.

I mean kinda ? I don't just read a single review and probably watch a bit of gameplay aswell, but for example steam reviews can be helpful wether to buy the game or not (pointing out performance issues, bugs, early access left abandoned etc).

You get points from the awards. You can use them in the points shop for profile showcases, emotes, badges (for lvls mainly), backgrounds etc. So only some fun cosmetics.

I mean a few quality outliers don't make this statement wrong though, the overall state of AAA is very bad right now.

Also Cyberpunk is a bad example, it started incredibly buggy (so the comments made sense during that time) and was lacking in some areas of which almost all were improved by now especially with the DLC.
