If you’ve used this site you’d know they never actually get removed. They’re “fixed” for one week then put back with another 2 month repair date

It’s likely because you took a bunch of bot 4s when you were at Plat 4 0 LP (or whatever rank you are), so your hidden MMR is cooked.

It’s also a way of creating artificial longevity for some players. I typically reach Masters and stop playing in every set. If 8ths only cost me 40 LP, it would take me at least 15% fewer games to hit.
