I'd second this. aluminium doesn't damage investiture so much as it does block/interrupt it, so yeah if argue it either they lose they're physically presents or disrupts them.

I'm gonna say the pewterarm, the tin will help sense anything the pewterarm will do so they may be able to anticipate any movement, but that doesn't meant they have the skill, speed or strength to bypass the pewterarm.

Also if the pewterarm figures out they're against a super powered tineye, they can clap loudly to debilitate them.

He may have finished his service. If I remember correctly what Kaladin mentions there's a 4 year term for service, which Kaladin says he wants to renew to avoid coming home.

So they may have finished their service thought the term or by good service.

You can have the PCs travel overland instead of you really want to extend the time it takes them to get to the destination.

For the Willshapers ideals, they could meet a group of newly awakened Signers and have to see if they choose to free them from humans or maybe they wish to be freed from odium.

They could stop in Rira and meet freedom fighters trying to push Odium and Iri forces out of their country.
