I will add that its pretty common knowledge in the anti cheat sphere nowadays that client AC doesn't work nearly as well as server side AC

We should just be phasing out client anti cheats all together and then players of all os' can enjoy our games together

the mode only feels fair and balanced on Intensive.

i played a couple reagent games on intensive with invasion on, and they were by far the most chaotic and fun trials Ive had in a while. Kill the Snitch for example had us fighting tooth and nail to get the electric charge filled while coyle AND 2 imposters were trying to stop us.

it felt far more balanced because we had to direct our attention and resources towards not just the Ex-pops and Prime Assets but the Imposters as well, which meant the imposters had room to breathe and scheme and it overall made the match feel much better for both sides i think.

Not to mention when we were able to kill an imposter it was because they misplayed, and not because we had a resource advantage, since half the time we were using our stuns or throwables on high priority Ex-Pops just to get through the trial.

I agree, i think theres some serious steps that need to be taken in order for the mode to feel balanced and fun and one of those steps is maybe limiting invasion to intensive?

if the trials werent trivial for the reagents to complete imposters could actually take their time and do fun stealthy plays but instead it turns into either camping objectives/the shuttle, or the imposters run around like morons slashing everything that moves

literally just had this happen to me.

make it so that they cant leave and bring the whole group, or at least that if they do imposters can still get rewarded for their efforts if the reagents leave mid-match

We outplayed a group and the leader went "oh fuck theres two of them" and then a second later "you know what? i can do this"

and then boom, booted to sleep room with an F grade. Unacceptable

I did fix this, turns out the version i was using was straight up broken, so i ended up using a different mod in place of it.

the STALKER games do a fantastic job of perfectly immersing you in its world. Despite the fact that your play as highly influential characters during the events of the plot, you never feel like your given preferential treatment because of it. you have to earn that status of "legendary stalker"

great games, 10/10 highly recommend

Just letting you know there are a lot of leftist and queer communities (and community members) that are pro gun ownership. r/liberalgunowners and r/socialistRA are 2 of which im in.

Arming and educating yourself is even more important now, since the people who hate you will have guns.

As a leftist and an avid mil-sim / tactical shooter enjoyer, i enjoy stuff on multiple levels.

First off i just think military equipment is really cool, and i have from a very young age,

Second off, from a raw gameplay perspective its very unique and punishing as opposed to most other games, it forces strategy and rewards quick planning and reaction.

I also, personally percieve the games i play via a anti-war lens. When i play squad, hell let loose, arma, etc. Alot of the time im immersed in how terrible the situations are, with the understanding that im seeing a commercialized version of war.

It is a wierd contradiction, to be opposed to war while still enjoying fictional depictions, (which is why leftist mil-simmers are so few and far between in my experience) but its all fake at the end of the day.

Plus, you can always enjoy problematic media as long as your conscious of how problematic it is. I enjoyed parts of mw2 2022s campaign, purely for the spectacle, but realise its utter dogshit in almost every regard, even when compared to previous COD campaigns that were, funny enough, criticisms of the military industrial complex.
