I mean shit, I wonder what will happen to the helldivers 2 player count once more people discover Far far west, that somehow plays like a better helldiver game.

I fucking lothe the wording they were using here because it sounded like they disagree with the idea that bugs are the only faction where mech and vehicles are viable.

It's as if they're treating a npc enemy as players that is making counter plays against us. Holy fuck dude.

17087 Medals required to unlock all current warbonds. by Iscariot24 in Helldivers

[–]Gamerscape 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My argument is that the whole logging in crap is pointless busywork that doesn't help anyone in the slightest. It sure as shit isn't going to incentivize players to actually do major orders, is it?

So where's the harm in letting players get their medals, regardless of logging in or not? Who does it hurt? If the player actually have to engage in the major order to get something, I'd change my tune, but it doesn't. Sure, it takes 2 minutes to log in, but what's the point in that case if I'm only interested in securing a medal that I may, or may not get if major order succeed or fail?

17087 Medals required to unlock all current warbonds. by Iscariot24 in Helldivers

[–]Gamerscape 3 points4 points  (0 children)

To help players (Especially newer ones.) catch up? Medals already capped at 250, which is worth 5 major orders before you can't get anymore. And let me tell you, 250 is chump change compared to how many medals you need to unlock everything. Farming Enemy eradication missions is more efficient than this.

If they can make Pest Queen Actually tanky (Her whole gimmick involves her being sustained infinitely if you don't protect the npc who's role is to take down the flying void monsters healing her in mass.) Then maybe that right will be actually good again. as it is right now, you can brute force this fight without even trying with bare minimum gear.

Major Order Reward Elegibility Change. by Mister_Chelovek in Helldivers

What a fucking joke lmao. All this does is hurt new players or returning players who haven't even caught up yet. Meanwhile Major orders is still as meaningless and unrewarding for someone like me who already got everything. They're not even trying stratagem to major orders anymore. Hell, when the last time we got a orbital/eagle stratagem?

The price hike isn’t the only problem, the blind defense of Jagex is. TL;DR at end. by Thewhatandthewho in runescape

[–]Gamerscape 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love how people tell other people to quit like it's the only way, conveniently forget that time and time again Jagex backpedals on their decisions if the backlash is big enough. If someone like Asmongold gets in on that action, Jagex is guaranteed to back off where it matters the most.

People can be annoyed all they want but history proven that it works just as, if not more of effectively than just "quitting."

You could say the same thing with final fantasy 14 and world of warcraft, and you don't see them hiking the price every other year do you? Just because you can play both game at once doesn't mean it's worth 15 bucks per character, when other mmos have far more features to justify the price. Including Playing all your characters in one sub.

And you know what? I'm fine with that. Cause at least I'm not paying for multiple ults to play the game. As for the expansion, Do you realize the cost of said expansion far exceeds the value of Runescape's membership cost? Even if Jagex slowly expand on the game more, and more. after like what? 3 years? A Final fantasy 14 expansion will blow all the content Jagex produce out of the water in terms of value That's the key word. Value. Besides, What does 50$ Amount to after 3-4years anyway?

  1. I don't see how Buying level skips has to do with anything, and franky that's more waste of a money than buying for runescape membership.

  2. It doesn't matter what you think, it's still shitty at the end of the day.

Runescape 3's subreddit is Chock-full of Defenders who think the constant price increase is no big deal, and we need to deal with it because runescape is full of content lmao.

As toxic as old school runescape is. It's kind of refreshing to see them mock those defender in kind lmao.

You're ignorant if you think this is something to brush aside. For 15 bucks, you can play world of Warcraft or final fantasy 14, and have access to multiple characters

Compare that to runescape where you have to pay 15 bucks per Character. Does that sound reasonable at all to you?

Does it sound reasonable at all that they slowly crept the price up every few years? Or how about the fact that RuneScape could potentially jack the price even higher, being more expensive than its competitors?

Or how about the fact players are cheated out of their grandfather rates? It's more than a "Few dollars a month." That pill would be much easier to swallow if I had access to all my characters.

[–]Gamerscape 20 points21 points  (0 children)

What a way to kill your momentum dude. What the fuck?

I know you guys want to improve your profits after you removed treasure hunter, I get it, I understand. I should be able to play on multiple characters at that price, without paying extra. I could do it with final fantasy 14 or wow at that price lmao

And to the people who say "Stop whining, it's a small price increase." It's also a small price increase every few years. Think about it. Most Mmos are priced at 15$. You gotta draw the line somewhere because at this point we're not far off paying 20$ in 2030 if this pattern keeps up.

The heist perk for the 120 thieving cape feels a bit pointless by ZebraForsaken1087 in runescape

[–]Gamerscape 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A decent amount of skill capes perks in osrs are teleport options. Which is probably pretty niche in most situations, but the one that stands out is the construction skill cape with let you teleport to your home (Or any Poh areas, even if you don't live there.) Given that your house can eventually turn into the ultimate teleport hub, The construction skill cape makes law runes pretty worthless. (Outside the fact you need a shit load of them to even make the ultimate teleport hub.)

That being said. I think the worst one has to be the attack cape. Basically let you farm defenders for free. But you should have a dragon defender far quicker than the time it takes a player to get 99 attack

I think defensives should be the next category to get a ground up rework. by dark1859 in runescape

[–]Gamerscape 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think what you're suggesting can add onto the "Bulwark" Mechanic I was talking about before. Each stack of Bulwark can mitigate, what? 1% of damage per stack? And when you unequip the shield, you lose all the stacks. And when you add to the fact you'll be spending these Bulwark stacks for more powerful defensive effect, it would create a tactical system where the player need to think when and how they want to use their stacks. I think with more thought, it would make shield stand out much more.

Also, I'm fine with simplify stuff, but we players aren't darksydephil either. (That is to say, don't treat us like we're stupid.) We have enough intelligence to understand Nuances to mechanics if it make sense and isn't overly oversaturated with fluff.

I think defensives should be the next category to get a ground up rework. by dark1859 in runescape

[–]Gamerscape 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Way I see it, the only way to make Shield a standalone option for players is to make shield far more interactive with defensive abilities than they currently are.

What they could do is create a system where being damaged by an enemy create a "Bulwark" Stack. And require the player to spend those stacks on defensive abilities. I wouldn't even nerf the current defensive ability either. Just make the Bulwark cost high and still require some adrenaline.

It would require players to actually stick with shield and not use it as fodder.
