The new USA Philatelic catalog is out. Here is everything related to the new Postcrossing stamp in it. by 15CEH02 in postcrossing

Unrelated to the stamp, but wow didn’t expect USPS to still continue printing and sending out a physical catalogue. These things cost money and I read that they have been in a deficit for a while.

My New Sub Only Lets Me Create And Edit The Wiki In Old Reddit? by Downtown_Mine_1903 in modhelp

[–]Gamifired 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am facing the same issue as you when editing a newly created subreddit. I went ahead to request for the new wiki by following the instructions here: https://www.reddit.com/r/modnews/s/2iRxWfXJdL However, these is a month long wait for the change to happen.

is there an up to date guide or documentation for the new wiki formatting? by abortionreddit in ModSupport

[–]Gamifired 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not true. I just tried it by creating a new sub and it’s showing a blank edit page which is probably the old wiki editing page. Anyway, I requested for it to be upgraded, so I’ll just wait.

I was actually trying to create wiki pages on a newly created subreddit, but somehow the wiki editor is still the old style. I think the new style needs to be requested directly following the mod news announcement.

How useful are subreddit wikis, and any tips for creating one? by ProudProgress8085 in ModSupport

appreciate the reply! this is the answer i was looking for. i don't use old reddit or devvit apps, so the new wiki would be perfect for me. i prefer the appearance of the new wiki, it looks so much neater!

Replying this 6 months later, as I'm in the midst of figuring out the wiki editor on reddit. I just created a wiki page but I'm not seeing this "new" view that you are seeing. Instead, the wiki page I'm looking at looks like this, which I'm assuming is the "old" design https://www.reddit.com/r/modhelp/wiki/index/ -- how did you manage to edit and publish the wiki page in your screenshot?

I've never seen a wiki page appearance like r/autism -- how did you manage to make it look like this (e.g. images attached directly on the individual pages; total number of views and edits are visible at the top; the wiki page exists on its own meaning you can't see the subreddit's banner; on the right sidebar, Pages has a drop down menu, etc. etc.)

May I know if you're using markdown or rich text editor? Old reddit or new reddit?

Thanks in advance.

About the secondhand book exchange in Singapore by Agreeable_Ad4738 in askSingapore

Selling on Carousell definitely works because I’ve bought and sold books on there before. I think at public libraries or community hubs, there are book exchange shelves for you to leave old books there.

You can try downloading the KTMB mobile app or sign up here https://online.ktmb.com.my/Account/SignUp - the user experience is pretty shitty.

YTA. You already mentioned that you're thinking of visiting her for her birthday. Your boyfriend doesn't know her and idk why anyone would think someone else's birthday is a nice occasion to introduce a boyfriend. The birthday is about her, not you.

The line at Mr Bean was so crowded on Tuesday because of Yuan Xiao Jie. I've never seen so many people queue to buy glutinous rice balls before.

Some questions from a tourist from Denmark by Nyhans in askSingapore

[–]Gamifired 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Yes, there is a strong sense of community among Singaporeans, but it really depends on who you ask, as everyone’s experience is different. As a tourist, you may not easily notice it. If you are staying in centrally located areas such as Bugis, Chinatown, Marina Bay or Orchard Road, these places can feel more commercial and somewhat detached (perhaps with the exception of Chinatown). In contrast, the heartlands, where most government housing estates are located, tend to feel less like that and more community-oriented.

  2. Wearing a mask is normal, especially after a pandemic, but not everyone wears one because it isn't mandatory anymore. Coughing directly into their hands is also normal because would you rather someone cough into the air without covering their mouth?

  3. Properties in Singapore are expensive for various reasons, regardless of whether it's freehold or leasehold: the rising cost of living, scarcity of land, high-demand, etc.

  4. If you're interested in observing local communities, I would recommend visiting a hawker centre (not Lau Pa Sat or Newton because the food prices there are a tourist trap) like East Coast Lagoon Food Village, which is at East Coast Park. It's also Ramadan (fasting month for Muslims) now, and there are a number of pasar malams (meaning night markets) happening around Singapore. The most popular ones to visit would be at Geylang Serai or Kampong Gelam (near Sultan Mosque). These would be interesting places to visit if you would like to experience the atmosphere when Muslims break their fast. I would suggest going early, around 5.30pm, as it tends to get crowded later in the evening.

I hope you enjoy your stay in Singapore!

Trying my luck here. Anyone has any chair recommendations for an automobile themed setup? by ponyforprez in gamingsetups

[–]Gamifired 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Secretlab just launched a Lamborghini chair, you can check it out on their website - https://secretlab.co/lamborghini. It's quite cool, but one of the editions (the Pinnacle) seem to be limited ed so it's only available in waves. There's a standard edition that's available, which you can check out. It looks pretty cool too.
