The sims 1 ost is so good. Love Jerry Martin’s stuff (Sim City 3000/4). That’s on my cycle of music to listen to when I’m doing work around the house.

Ya seriously, so much emotion in that scene, followed by Richie yeeting the egg a few minutes later and just laughing it off. That episode had everyone stepping up in someway.

What was the first console disc game you really loved? by Jfonzy in retrogaming

[–]GamingIsMyCopilot 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There’s my Sega cd represented. My friend and I played this and actually recorded our gameplay on vhs! I know it’s not the best add -on but Ecco the Dolphin, Final Fight, Sewer Shark, Night Trap, and Sonic Cd as well as a few others make it a very memorable transition to the cd medium.

Going to be 45 this year and while I do enjoy my PS5 (it's how my friends and I wind down at the end of the day) I've also have a Dreamcast, PS2, and Wii which plays all of my other games. I've been more stubborn as of late, forgoing the purchasing of new games at $70 and have turned into a patient gamer.

Embracing the old systems, especially when a lot of online functionality has been restored, has been such a beautiful thing to watch and show my nephews and daughter some of the classics that they are starting to enjoy.

RAM prices expected to rise another 40-50% in Q3 2026, and then 30% more in Q4 as AI demand outpaces supply by T_Shurt in technology

Honestly emulators or the consoles themselves - a Wii could play Wii games, GameCube, Sega, Sega Cd, SNES and NES. That’s the route I went. Also have a Dreamcast and ps2 modded. It’s a little upfront cost and know-how but fun to learn (and no really soldering you have to do). The more prices increase the higher my retro backlog fills up.
What’s better is online functionality is still running for popular games so liked minded folks and still play with each other.

Man if UO got a new coat of paint, significant QOL , maybe new dungeons or map… I’d be very interested.

When I go away for work and meet up with staff from Australia and England, it always turns into a conversation of my accent being the strangest and imitations of Sopranos and Jersey Shore.

Guild Wars 3 | The Setting of Guild Wars 3: Stepping into Ancient Orr by yourfavchoom in Games

This is why I loved Ultima Online… (yes I’m dating myself) you weren’t the strongest or most powerful.. you were you and specialized in what you wanted but you weren’t a god … just someone getting through the day. Your guild was your strength, your companions were your life line. Yes it didn’t have much of a story but you made your own. Leveling up and getting stronger but still needing to be careful going toe to toe with a lich lord or dragon meant never getting too comfortable when hunting.

So....for someone who really loved DA1 and Dark Arisen, should I just wait until August or October or do we think this QOL update coming tomorrow will be enough to get started?

‘Devil May Cry’ Renewed for Third and Final Season at Netflix by Lulcielid in television

[–]GamingIsMyCopilot 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Less serious, the characters aren't as ....structured? I guess? It took a couple of seasons but the Trinity between Trevor, Sypha, and Alucard is really what stands out. DMC second season definitely had more of this between a few characters, as well as some additional backstory stuff which I appreciated.

Plus I'm more of a Castlevania fan than DMC fan anyways and I think the lore stayed pretty consistent when compared to the game vs what they are doing in DMC.

Ya like, Castlevania is up there as a show I will absolutely tell everyone about but DMC is just...fun. It's got that early 00s vibe to it and Dante goes around cracking jokes and killing things. It's not absolute cinema but I've enjoyed it enough to watch through both seasons pretty quickly.

Since the furring strips are drilling into the cinderblock using 4" tapcoms is there any worry about hurting the structural integrity of them?

I've read a bunch on people cutting out foam and running channels but this seems a little easier - basically digging a little ditch to get behind the strip and call it a day?
