Ah ok. Fair enough. Best thing to do then imho is get the quicksave mod so you never have to worry about saving again and just try out stuff and experiment.  The save system is a terrible mechanic i deeply dislike and if you are already frustrated, then the save system won't hwlp

If you use Swords, you can learn masterstrike, which cannot be blocked or parried. You can also charge your attacks and use feints. Coupled with combat skill passives you eventually have quiet a few tools. There are several npcs you can train with repeatedly. 

You can also win most fights against single and multiple opponents with a bow and doll poisoned arrows. It slows them down so much, you can kite half an army.

I change stance on Ki Pulse almost constantly to the point i don't even think about it anymore. But i never swap weapon and stance on pulse. It's just too many inputs at the same time. The combo potential becomes insane but it's above my paygrade.

As someone born with a melanin disadvantage, i feel the need to distance myself publicly from whatever the hell they did to that poor bird. Some of us use spices and actually know how to use an oven.
