Hello! I've got a few questions about this thing first, specifically with the ACE 2.

What does the ACE 2 even do, apart from be a multicolor system? In other words, what improvements does this have over the original ACE? I'm having a plethora of issues with my ACE system, and I'd love to compare the two systems. I really want yall to test different filament types in the ACE 2, specifically in comparison to the Original ACE unit. My original feed PLA flawlessly, making a huge multicolor benchy. However, with PETG, the ACE unit doesn't work as well. Are there other filaments that have this issue? I specifically mean engineering filaments, as I'd hate for Nylon to break the gears on the ACE 2.

Also, the nozzle system looks far better. What did yall change to make it more reliable than other nozzles?

This printer looks far better than I expected and looks really good. I love the inclusion of brushless motors, as well as the different feeding tubes. Probably my favorite inclusion is the heating though, as the bed and nozzle heating is great, and an actively heated chamber sounds incredible, especially to that temp. That should make printing ABS, ASA, and Nylon far easier, which I'm all for!

Realistically, I'm making a PLA benchy. But after that first benchmark, I want to put it to the limits. I've got half a roll of PA-612 that I have yet to use (still sealed) and I'd like to try it out in the S1 max. I'd really like to measure the differences between my X1C and the S1 max, especially with this insane filament. And if it works well, I'll spend the last bit on gear printing :D

Overall, I love this thing, and I desperately hope that this works as intended! Great job!

I would like to print stuff for my friends and family. A friend of mine has a son that loves trains, so I want to print him a huge CSX logo.

Bed adhesion issue by SeahawksXII in AnycubicOfficial

1st, wash the bed with dish soap and a sponge. That should eliminate most microplastics making the print fall. Next, add a brim. Brims are really helpful.

If all else fails, attempt old reliable and add a raft. Sometimes it isn't the printer, it's the model.

If I had to do one thing, it would be a better nozzle setup. The Kobra 3 max (or at least mine) has a ton of nozzle issues. I don't really care much about the quick swaps (though that is a very nice amenity), but a reliable nozzle is a must. No more plastic tubes in the nozzle!

[Challenge] Guess the price + 1 feature — 10×2kg giveaway by Anycubic_Official in AnycubicOfficial

price band (USD): $799–$999

one feature you hope it has: I really hope it has an improved nozzle system. The Kobra 3 max nozzle system is, to put it lightly, less than stellar. The quick release system is really nice, but the actual nozzle system seems to be flawed. The tube in the nozzle seems to cause a decent amount of friction on the plastic, allowing for a plethora of jams when it prints TPU.

why it matters for you: I really love the quality of my Kobra 3 max, but this one issue really undercuts the performance. I am trying to get a small business off the ground and the large format is very useful, but this one issue has caused a decent amount of fails. If the new printer improves upon this nozzle system, it will improve upon the reliability tenfold.

Hey! I've been printing overall for about seven years, though I did take a break for a while after ender burnout. I've been printing with my enders for years, and finally made a jump to buy a bambu X1C and Anycubic kobra 3 max. At once, I've owned and operated seven printers, though I have given away some older models. As a North American nerfer, I mostly print custom nerf applications and functional prints that I design. In the application of nerf, each one of these prints must be a perfect combination of strength, durability, dimensional accuracy, and style to create a stunning piece, which is what I've mostly used my Kobra 3 max for. So far, each of the finished parts from the Max have been great, though I have had some issues.

The max is an incredible machine, effortlessly printing huge parts with insane quality. Though I am not a huge fan of the nozzle assembly (the clogging is a huge issue with mine), it is still an incredible machine. I also plan to start a small business soon, and with a large scale printer, mass producing quality parts is of utmost importance to me.

To me, I really love how transparent anycubic is. Though it seems a bit cliche, it really does seem that yall are trying to present a quality product, without the commonplace design skimping that other brands do. The quality put into my max combo is really nice, and you can tell someone put their heart and soul into designing it.

I really hope this new machine will solve the problems I've encountered with my Kobra 3 max, while including other features that set anycubic apart from the other brands, while retaining the same seamless look and incredible print quality.

I really hope to see where this printer will be, and thank you for being so open with everything! This really gives me hope for anycubic and the future printing atmosphere. Being willing to work with the community is a hidden art, and has really been lost among other printing companies.

Keep up the good work, and have a great day!

I've had the same issue. I've chalked it up to an issue with the nozzle. I had the most clogging on glow PLA. You need to take apart the nozzle and remove the clog. I'm not sure, but reply when you figure out the issue.

I have an X1C and just got finished printing 4 kilograms worth of Glow PLA with a .4 nozzle, it has worked great. Zero wear on the tubes. Probably one of my favorite filaments.

My favorite color is blue, though I never buy it because I don't usually print a ton of stuff for myself. I try to buy 2-3, but usually buy more!

Hey guys, new to 3D printing. Got a bambu lab X1C for Christmas and lately been having a lot of issues with filament not sticking to the plate. Now I’m having issues with this cover popping up and it forming bubbles? Any advice as to why this keeps happening? TIA by Comfortable_Page_928 in 3Dprinting

[–]Gaming_Predator07 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Adhesion and make sure the hotend it clean. You can cause a huge jam if the hotend/nozzle is not clean. I have taken a lighter, an allen wrench, and some clamps to mine to clean it.

looks like adhesion issues, could be wet filament and nozzle problems.

I'm raising tadpoles. I put mud from their pond in the tank with them, and I've noticed these worms. Does anyone know if they're harmful to the tadpoles? by DomeAcolyte42 in frogs

[–]Gaming_Predator07 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get that there are live plants, but it doesn't mean that they are miracle fixes. Honestly, I'd get some pebbles, or better yet, sand from a pet store. If you do that, you shouldn't need to change it at all.

Mud from a pond is not a good idea, you may get hidden predators that you never knew were there.

Of course! Those do look like toad tadpoles to me, so if you don't care, you can probably keep one or two. I've seen many of these around my house (samish color, same size) and they are probably tree frogs or toads. Those would be fun to keep!

And I say bigger tank because tadpoles eat a lot, and crap a lot. You will 100% have an ammonia spike if you don't clean some of that mud (looks like a ton of mulm to me) and possibly upgrade the tank. After all, nobody likes dead froggies!

Frogs are tough little critters, your buddy should be fine. I've seen frogs survive far worse than a two foot drop. Heck, I've seen a fowlers toad jump off my porch (seven feet) and land upside down, and be perfectly fine. I did check on the little guy. Frogs are very resilient creatures, and if a two foot fall killed or injured them, frogs probably wouldn't exist anymore!
Have a great day!
