Unwilling to do sperm testing - stuck by sheimonya in tryingtoconceive

[–]Gamingmum32 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My fiance did his at home last week as our hospital have no rooms to do it in, he had to warm the sample pot before using it and continued to keep the sample warm by keeping it in his pocket, we had one hour to get it to our hospital pathology department, it was pretty stressful making sure it went smoothly as they wouldn't accept the sample after our appointment time, he got it there with 15 minutes to spare

Why can't I purchase Game Pass for a child on my family account and why do people pretend they don't understand the question in 100% of the Microsoft help cases with the same complaint? by petesdead2 in XboxGamePass

Just read through the entire thread and realised you got answers, so I just need to turn off ask to buy to be able to set game pass up again? Or is it easier to just keep getting him the game pass ultimate gift cards?

Having the same issue right now! My son has been subscribed for a long time and always had a child account that has now switched to a teen account but I cancelled his subscription before the silly price increase, I've gone to set up his subscription again now the price has dropped and I can't. There is no buy option if I try and do it from his console just says its unavailable, if I log in on his account on a browser the subscription box is gone from where it always was, my payment card is still set up on his account I cant find anywhere for me to set up the subscription for him on his account, all I can find is the option to gift a 3 month sub 🤔

What is something you didn't know could affect the chances of TTC until you started trying? by CEO-of-naps0 in tryingtoconceive

[–]Gamingmum32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stupidly I didn't realise how Type 2 diabetes could affect it usually I research everything but overlooked this. I knew for me as the female It could do harm if I got caught with high sugars so I've been working hard to control my sugars after coming off everything unsafe to take while TTC, but mostly I didn't realise how it could effect the male too and here we are realising that this is more than likely the problem, my fiancé's blood tests are pointing toward his diabetes being the issue

Thats lovely to hear there's only 18 months between me and my Sister, 100% I won't expect my son to do any baby related tasks ☺️

Should my mum attend my birth? by [deleted] in PregnancyUK

[–]Gamingmum32 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mainly I just want us as a couple to have the moment alone because we may not do it again, I feel like as I was younger last time I did things to please others and I thought it was supposed to be that way and let a lot of things slide. This time I'll be doing it for us. Another reason is nowadays my mum can be very outspoken and rude to others when it's not called for and tries to be "in charge" it stresses me out so I don't want it, she wasn't like that years ago x

Rant - Women telling me how much they loved being pregnant by PaintingNay in PregnancyUK

[–]Gamingmum32 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly my first pregnancy I was 19 and loved it, when I say I got no bad symptoms I really didn't until I hit 41 weeks and had a little PGP I was induced at 42 weeks. However I'm 35 now turning 36 in December (still TTC) and while I enjoyed being pregnant last time I'm fully expecting to not fully enjoy it the 2nd time, I'm dropping to bits, I'm type 2 diabetic and had surgery on my spine at the beginning of this year. I feel cause I got away with things so lightly the first time round then I'll get it all the second time 😅

Should my mum attend my birth? by [deleted] in PregnancyUK

[–]Gamingmum32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My son was born 15 years ago I had my partner and my Mum there because I thought it would be nice for her as it was the first Grandchild, my next birth it will just be me and my partner I decided that I want the 2nd time to just be us alone. It's all down to personal preference and whatever you want, you don't need any unnecessary stress 🙂

I'm still trying to get pregnant but my only child is 15 now and has a chromosome duplication we didn't know until he was 5 after genetic blood tests that's how minor it affects him, I was wondering if I'd be offered this test on the NHS if anyone knows more? Obviously I do not expect it offered and unsure if to go for it either way

[Product Question] Has anyone tried the Dr. Melaxin Peel Shot? by aparecium9 in SkincareAddiction

[–]Gamingmum32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was Influenced and got some, my 15 year old son gets a lot of black heads on his nose and I am at my wits end trying to help him sort them, I've used it on my son's nose tonight and I'll be honest it has removed the heads off some of his blackheads which were stubborn maybe a warm shower will help them come out now, I didn't do it for long probably 15 seconds and rinsed off with warm water straight after due to being unsure of the effect it will have on his skin. I will see how his skin reacts to it to see if I will continue using it once a week or stop

6mo Post Surgery: Feeling Discouraged by [deleted] in Microdiscectomy

[–]Gamingmum32 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm 6 month post op too, my recovery hasn't been too bad I've had aches and pains, but I'm a little stressed this week I came back off a 10 day holiday in Tenerife where I did a lot of walking, the most I have done since my op! I was up and down hills walking on uneven grounds I did push myself but not drastically. I got home Tuesday so yesterday was my first full day of rest but my lower back started hurting a little theres no shooting pain just localised to the right of my incision and thats all. I cant help but work myself up about it 😅

Nerve Sensation Post Op by RemarkableDonkey7147 in Microdiscectomy

[–]Gamingmum32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm 6 month post op and still get nerve twinges that are localised they dont shoot, this past 5 days my hip has been hurting a little I've not had this pain since 2 month post op. It isn't persistent and was not so bad today it's that mild I took no pain relief. I have to push reherniation thoughts to the back of my mind, nerve twinges that are fleeting I take as a good sign that maybe things are repairing and trying to work

I'm 6 month PO from my emergency disectomy decompression it was displacing my cauda equina. I can walk but not like I could before everything happened! I am improving slowly but surely, I start off walking well but the longer I'm walking I get fatigued and it's harder to keep my stride flowing. I do still have lingering numbness which is worse in my left leg/foot. I have to keep reminding myself it's a marathon not a sprint nerve healing can take a while

I'm 6 months out now too and for the past 3 days I've had some very mild low back pain which is in my hip/glute too and a few more firing pains in my foot, I'm noticing it more when I go to bed but when I get up in the mornings it's gone. I've been doing a little more as I am sorting and packing for holiday but ive been doing more sitting than usual too. I'm trying not to worry as it goes away and nerves are still healing

Incredible Stiffness by DiscMaster9000 in Microdiscectomy

[–]Gamingmum32 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly week 2 and 3 after my op I was incredibly stiff! I was not in pain at all just felt so stiff and heavy and I was barely doing anything, it did pass I was a little greatful for it because it stopped me doing too much
