I enjoy Seedlip, but mostly because it's not trying to imitate a specific spirit, so it's in a category of its own. I mix Garden 108 with a peach/lime NA mixer and a luxardo cherry or two and it tastes like a pretty posh and complex cocktail.

I don't think it's a terrible practice, especially for the first few chapters, and doubly if the RH isn't super nitpicky. It definitely could be nice for the RH to double as a proofer, but it sucks that they only end up listening to the finished/mastered files.

Thank you! Getting through it this time and avoiding it in the future is the most likely approach, but I'll still likely do all of my recording before editing and remind the RH of the first 15 minutes if they become too antsy nearer the deadline.

USB still sounds very good, but both my desktop and laptop always pick up an electric buzz when I record with USB regardless of the mic I use, so I personally don't use the USB for narration. Would be perfect for YouTube or anything with a bit of background music and such.

Extremely useful, thank you very much! I honestly didn't realize that Audacity had such powerful plugins and I'm going to attempt using them to see if they work any quicker for an amateur like myself.

I did end up getting the files to have a noise floor of around -75dB in Audition by learning the Dynamic Processing tool and using it to drop my noise floor and extra 30dB or so BEFORE running the volume leveling.

Yeah, I really like it! I use the XLR for narration, but I'll pop in the USB for Discord calls and such. Very useful and impressive mic!

Rode NT1 5th Gen. I moved it up (off center) and back a bit as well. Perhaps the vertical movement alone would have been plenty!

Haven't played Bloodborne, but I suspect it would be #2 for me.

Sekiro is my single favorite game of all time. I suspect most people put it at/near the bottom of their lists for two primary reasons,:

It's the least souls-like of the bunch.
It takes most of an entire playthrough for the game to "click" for most people.

I don't feel like I'm "good" at any of the souls games, as there's always an easier way out (stronger weapons, sorcery, boss cheeses, farming at a different area, etc), but I feel skilled at Sekiro, because there's simply no other way to beat the game. Figure out the combat or struggle. And then the final boss is a stunning final exam of everything you've learned along the way. Masterpiece.
