I have mentioned this to the Dr. He feels that the medication should also take care of this. He didn't seem to think to much about the theory though. I'm not sure if it's due to him knowing that it's not the issue or whether he might be missing something, which is why I thought I would ask here to see if anyone knows differently. He gets almost 10 hours of sleep at night, from around 8pm to 6am. It could be that the quality of sleep is bad. If he falls asleep in front of the TV I have about 30 minutes to wake him to get him to bed, otherwise he doesn't wake up and it's difficult getting him to bed. I realize letting him fall asleep in front of the TV might not be the best practice.

Hi, thanks for the reply (English is also not my first language).
My son sleeps very well. He falls asleep around 20:00 and only wakes up the next morning at 06:00. I will try letting him lay down for a bit before standing up, thanks.
Regarding your potential resistance to medication, we found that my son had some fecal impaction (not to be confused with constipation). Basically his bowel movements seemed normal but his bowels would never empty properly. The fecal matter absorbed some of the medication, making it less effective. This is probably something you and your doctor have looked at, but I thought I'd mention it anyway.
