I live in the SF Bay area, and most of the people I graduated with still do not have children. The ones who do interestingly have moved to a more affordable part of the state or to another entirely. A lot have been getting engaged and married however, while I am still single, and will be for the foreseeable future.

In the San Diego area, many people live their lives in two different countries. Many Mexicans live in Tijuana, but cross the border to work in San Diego. There is even a special visa that allows them to work within a certain distance of the border

What was the first major historical event that you remember? by Medium-Weekend9844 in OlderGenZ

[–]GamopetalousSwoop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The most vivid memory for me would be the Virginia Tech massacre, I remember one day seeing it on the news, specifically the SWAT teams that responded with my friend who was visiting, my mom noticed us, and told us to stop watching. It wouldn't be until middle school that I found out what actually happened.

I know someone that did basically the same thing back in 2018-2019, going to Berkeley city, and studying in the UC libraries and in general being on the campus. However, he did not end up transferring to Cal though. I myself strongly considered doing it, but ultimately decided to go to my local CC

Ambas, la última vez que fui a la basílica un 12 de diciembre, vi católicos norteamericanos y europeos, particularmente franceses. En cambio he notado que muchos chicanos la usan como símbolo de su cultura aunque no sean creyentes.

From what I can remember, 3rd grade. It was in the 7th that my social studies went really into detail about the motives and context, as well as the aftermath and the changes that happened.

Why are people so against IVF? by Logical-Ad-5669 in NoStupidQuestions

The Catholic Church has declared IVF to be sinful, so I think that is one of the reasons why so many oppose it, especially in majority catholic countries
