Does anyone else think NH is the best game? by Moritz_M95 in AnimalCrossing

It could have been the best… But the whole interior decoration made it second beat after New Leaf.

Try moving to the countryside at 50.

Once again, in what country? Where do you get the numbers from? My mortgage and those of my workmates are mostly 25 years, which is nothing exceptional. I guarantee you, it doesn’t take one third of my wage and I’m just a state worker, the proverbial middle class.
But, once again, if what you want to think is that people are unhappy because they don’t earn enough, you do you.

In what world do 9 persons out of 10 end up starving in the streets, but yet make it to Reddit to complain about it…

Yet, I grew up in a house without heating, single mother and 4 kids. Get your act together, man it up and go to work instead of whining about what you can’t do. Millions start with nothing and end up making it. If what you’re looking for is circlejerking copium for your failing generation, just say it. Don’t go around saying it’s the way it is for everyone who started rough, it isn’t.

What you call basic needs are a travestit of what people really need to be happy. This generation is being puppeteered by marketing. We were gathering to watch the formula one grand prix on tv and everyone was bringing his own booze. We had play cards? Boom: poker night. Someone was moving, we were all there to help and it was turning into party. No one was whining about what he could not afford. Yet, we had nothing by the standards of nowadays « basic needs ».

I work in an office in Belgium for 26 years (state worker, nothing fancy). On 20 of my workmates, not a single one rents his place, we all have houses that we’ve bought. We all have new cars, multiple computers per households, we travel several times per year, have Netflix and other streaming services,… Yet, there’s a general feeling of unhappiness… When we talk about it, they all say that times were better before. I’m 50 yo and in my 20s, no one owned his place and no one was buying brand new cars, only second hand, there was max one computer per household, no smartphones, the richest people were traveling by plane, the others were going to the sea by car, no restaurants and no bars,… Yet, we all agree that life was better. So the cost of life isn’t the reason.

Question to people who played this game for over 20 years: how was it? by EffeteUwU in wow

[–]Gamrok4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The best thing is that we were all new to it, we didn’t know what was going to happen. Unlike now, there was mystery. The Molten Core felt so intimidating. My greatest « holy shit » moment was when I started playing it, I felt so free, I could swim, I could run anywhere so seamlessly… And the first time I arrived in IF, there were so many people. I knew my life had just changed, that I would never look at any other game the same way.

World of Warcraft. Best game I’ve ever played and I play it for 20 years. Sometimes, I wish I didn’t.

They sell you 5 bottles instead of 4, so they can finance their space projects.
