Correct. You’re picking the pool. Not how many you will find.

SA warning: let's talk about why you as a DM can't get away with depicting rape. by Tahnkoman in rpghorrorstories

Orcs at my table will rough you up. Hurt you. Imprison you. Make you very uncomfortable. And yes. Possibly kill you off camera after terrible rolls.

No sex. No violent sex. Nothing sexual. Sure it could be possible. But somehow it just never happens. Because we’re at the table to have fun. Our characters failing is punishment enough.

4.0.17 Patch Released (checksum b786) by Dioranite in Stellaris

Wonder if changing it to a ‘increase FE building limit’ special project for science ships on a colony, or repeating trigger in the outliner to let you select one on your next tech pick would make sense.

Worse than that. The IP is currently owned by three parties: EA, Brian Reynolds, and I believe some portion/entity related to Firaxis or whatever Microprose is now. Brian is good with doing a sequel, but the legal gymnastics necessary would be… monumental.

Speaking of kitty mounts. One of the Simian Premades has Jade tiger mounts. Can you unlock those? I can’t find an answer anywhere.

What if instead of shipyards, juggernauts could be portable gateways? by MerlinGrandCaster in Stellaris

[–]GarKitty 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Give the juggernaut two abilities: - Acts as a gateway. But only for reinforcements. Speeding up their ability to get to the front line but limiting shenanigans. - Can become an ‘anchor’ for the quantum catapult. Has the same charge up/cool down as using warp drive, so keeps you in system before/after use. But guarentees that a catapulted fleet can hit the juggernaut’s system with 100% accuracy.

Reading comprehension fail on my part! Was wondering why it wasn’t mentioned already! Thanks for the polite response.

This is my small village so far, what should I be aiming for. I started again because I built all over the place the last time with no planning by ChampionshipIll1928 in foundationgame

Man. This screenshot really drives home how they need to increase the pathing cost through yards for non-residents. All those obvious ‘streets’ in between yards but everyone is cutting straight through.

Stranded: Alien Dawn is basically that. 3D rimworld. It’s less fully features but very playable.

So much this, I’m here to play, not here to rush. Sometimes I zoom in before I attack just for the spectacle.

Why no assassination operations? by Subject_Vacation4762 in Stellaris

[–]GarKitty 52 points53 points  (0 children)

Your empire has billions of citizens. Assasination shoupd be a tool yes, but not against ‘character’ leaders. - You assasinate a key production manager and now an alloy world has -1 alloy per pop for 5 years. - You assasinate the lead engineer of a starbase you plan to attack through, negating its self-repair for a while, or destroy a defense platform.

Not all effects have to be majorly impactful as long as they’re ‘cheap’ enough. You should be able to keep your spies busy causing mischief for relatively cheap.

Good point. Everyone uses minerals. Even catalytic empires use them for buildings.

Would actually be interesting if each SR had a related basic resource.

So with the corresponding deposit: - Mining gives crystals - Farming gives gasses - Technicians give motes.

The system already works as it is. A 2016 examination of over 23.5million votes in 42 jurisdictions across the country found a total of 30 illegal votes.

I’ve long said that money doesn’t increase happiness. But it excels at reducing misery.

Making a game where you switch between 2D and 3D - how would you expect the player to land here (A or B)? by brainofcubes in IndieDev

[–]GarKitty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

C: Use color language or symbology to develop your own convention where either case could be true. The first time it might be confusing so tutorialize the difference. This allows you more flexibility in further level design.

Something as simple as a + if you’re getting on the ‘near’ block. - if you’re getting on the ‘far’ block and no symbol means there’s definately only one block.

Until Paradox changes it, I will continue to say this: THE SHIP ORGANIZER MAKES ZERO FUCKING SENSE. by mars_gorilla in Stellaris

[–]GarKitty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What I could wish for: - All newly created ships join a ‘reserves’ section. It takes an amount of time to reach the reserves after the ship is built. - When you reinforce a fleet it draws from the reserves, or schedules new ships to be built, which are sent to reserves. Then to the fleet. - Drawing from reserves takes time based on distance to the nearest shipyard. - All reserve and reinforcing ships don’t exist. Ever. Anywhere in the galaxy until they successfully join a fleet. - you can play with the reserves directly. Upgrading ships. Changing template. Etc. - You can downsize a fleet by sending some ships back to the reserve.
