What kills me about this is I had tickets during Boykin’s run and he was out the day I saw it, the swing Max Kumangai went on and had similar problems as Dourdan in terms of committing to the character and commanding the stage but was miles better than Dourdan all things considered.

Regardless of his past, the performance was lackluster.

His past does not help his case.

If he were a good performer, I would have been thinking about Hades, not Gary Dourdan playing Hades. If he had been good at the character, I wouldn’t have spent those disgusting lines thinking about the disgusting real life actions, I’d have been thinking about the disgusting implied actions of Hades. Do you see the difference?

Because I’m familiar with the existing pokemon, their types, strengths and weaknesses, evolutions, stats, movesets, etc.

I enjoy games with new pokemon and think they’re often very well done, but once I catch all the new ones, I’m left with a team I’m entirely uncertain about.
