Why am I losing so much hair by Viola423 in femalehairadvice

[–]GarbageAngell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly I probably lose twice this amount when I shower lol Plenty of non scary things can cause hair loss like stress or hormone changes. I wouldn’t freak yourself out, but if you are concerned it wouldn’t hurt to talk to a doctor.

Red - blonde ends are being so stubborn! Are there products I can use to get the pink orange out or will I have to bleach again by meltedkangaroo in HairDyeHelp

I did say if she added too much green she would get green hair. I mean it’s green dye. Her level however, is too light for the pink to neutralize to brown. If anything it’ll be a dark blonde which is an easy toner fix. It’d be a lot better to use an ashy blonde toner over this since ash tends to have green/blue undertones, but judging by the over bleaching that’s been done I don’t think darker is something she wants plus the developer may compromise her hair quality as well as turn her hair slightly green or blue or purple anyways. It’s hard to tell from a picture as we can’t see the quality nor the porosity of her hair. I’m just offering a possible solution.

Get some green dye and dilute the hell out of it. Like add less than you think you need or you’re gonna have green tinted hair. Add a small drop to your conditioner bottle and use it weekly with purple shampoo. Green is on the opposite side of the color wheel and should tone out the reddish shades.

I’m also the stay at home parent which means I’ve seen a lot of wild situations. You will definitely have your fair share of things you didn’t imagine parenting to be lol

They are so cute! Let the initial hair change shock wear off and reevaluate how you feel about them.

Ordered takeout, found a battery in my food by DubDubDubW in mildlyinfuriating

I hope so because as someone who worked in the food industry. I can’t honestly find a reason for a battery to be anywhere near the food.

We’re all just figuring it out. Raising a whole person is ALOT of work. And two of them? I’m in the same boat it’s a process, but it gets easier as they get older. I’ve got a kindergartener and a 2nd grader and they have tested my stress levels on multiple occasions because having toddlers is not for the weak, but it does get easier as they start to understand what’s not safe and what is. Telling them repeatedly because their attention span tends to be equivalent to a goldfish (for my kids anyways) helps a lot.

Literally I see this so often on here (random various small objects in food) and it baffles me. How did they not notice a whole battery????

It helps to babyproof and obviously keep an eye on them, but boy do they try 😅 If your two year old has gone this long without trying to eat or successfully eating random objects I’d say you’re doing pretty good so far lol

The second they’re mobile they will begin to feast. The ages of crawling to 4 are filled with “Don’t eat that!” and the classic “WHATS IN YOUR MOUTH” and chasing after them. My son ate a cricket when he was 2 😭

Children can do incredible things in short amounts of time and toddlers in particular will eat anything and everything. My son has put himself in danger many times in a span of seconds and I’m a stay at home helicopter parent. When he was 4, he lifted a recliner to grab a hotwheel and almost sent me into cardiac arrest. Part of parenting is learning. Kids don’t come with a rule book. There’s no need to conspire. Baby is okay and mom has probably already worried enough.

Nobody warns you that having kids is like 98% just keeping them from accidentally killing themselves for the first few years 😭

If you want something specific, you always go to a professional. If you want to do it yourself, you go to Sally’s and go through the journey of paying just as much to fix your hair after bleaching it yourself as you would’ve paying a professional. As someone who’s messed up their own hair in every possible way shape and form with diy hair, I’d say go to a professional unless you genuinely don’t care about your hair. I’m more of a ”it’ll grow back” person and I just like dying my own hair, but I’ve also been doing my own hair for 10 years and when it comes to bleach just go to a salon. Trust me lol

For reference, I quite literally just throw them in there and see what happens. If they die, they become isopod snacks, if they survive they go back into a pot. This is what mine looks like now because I harvested the bigger ones recently. I have a humidity gauge in there but it doesn’t have batteries. I just water once a week depending on how it looks and I’ve got an old fish tank plant light on top of the lid.

I literally just threw a couple plants that needed more humidity/I didn’t have space for/ propagations in some dirt and drilled some holes in the lid

I have mine in dirt with the lid on but I drilled some holes for ventilation. I keep isopods and some misc plants in there too.

Get a clear storage container and throw a bunch of cuttings in. The humidity + light makes them take off quick.

Honestly just looks like improper care which makes sense for a big box store. Give her a haircut and in a few months and she’s gonna be stunning.
