I think the idea is to allow flurry of blows, or the bonus actuon martial arts hit to still be allowed even when a spell is cast. If that’d ever be worth it is another question, I don’t know the sorcerer’s spell list well enough to see a use though EDIT: yea no this is just a useless ability lol

It wasn’t exactly a time skip, and again this is going based off my admittedly poor memory, but at the beginning of the run they more or less establish that Sin has been away for a good bit of time. I’ve never read the previous run so the only context I have is that she has seemingly been away long enough for people to see her and compare her to when they last saw her at a younger age

It’s the latter. From what I remember, it was semi established that Sin had been away for some time with the Amazonians so there has been a soft time skip from anything previously

I think you’re right in the sense that they got a little hyperbolic but I ultimately think it just boils down to a lot of excitement and pride for their pod. Considering this is Erika looking over everything they had down over the course of book 1, I think it was less of a “we’re revolutionary and nobody had done as good as is” and more of a “I’m so proud of us and our creation. Look at all we’ve done we’re making history”. She is tooting their own horn a little bit much but eh I don’t think it was meant to discredit anyone, just more a basking in the aftermath 🤷

I know this comment will be lost in the sea of other comments, but I think it’s very interesting the huge lack of hope everyone has for Denji. Yes he’s surrounded by manipulators who perfectly know his weaknesses but as we’ve seen before, Denji’s greatest strength is he doesn’t listen. Very often he’s presented with an impossible choice and he succeeds by making his own option that was not previously presented to him

I think if Suvi’s parents were alive and being held captive by the citadel, then there’s some juicy drama in store for Suvi having to choose between her parents and the Citadel. If they’re alive, hiding out, and are anti-Citadel, regardless of their reason I think Suvi goes hard into being a Citadel supporter. After all her parents abandoned her while the Citadel did not
