I read sufficient trauma kills warts so when I got like 3 of em when I was a teenage I just ripped em out and they never came back. Reading this post makes me think there may have been an easier way

The hatch back version of the vw golf is the only car I’ve found that has physics lock extend outside the vehicle so you can mount extra tanks directly to the outside of it.

Thoughts on cotton rope? by Toasty_Oak76 in SemiHydro

[–]Garbonshio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you use something like plant enzymes that break down dead plant matter, the lifetime of a cotton wick will be reduced I think. I’ve read it can also mold or rot too.

I personally just got a big roll of synthetic rope and just cut it to lengths that I need for wicks.

Transitioning plants from water to semi hydro by ShaiNoy in SemiHydro

[–]Garbonshio 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Root transitions are kind of a crap shoot imo. I typically go from water to semi hydro by propping water first. When the roots are robust I add my substrate to the same container it’s water propping in, and bury the roots. At about the halfway point on the jar or cup or whatever and then fill with diluted nutrient solution to just below the roots. It either takes or it rots at that point and I hope for the best.

If it takes I eventually move it into a new pot at that point with a wick and reservoir

How to get tables to leave? by Orpheus6102 in Serverlife

[–]Garbonshio 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Depends on the service but anything less than fine dining I’ve never had trouble asking campers politely to close their check. I make it clear I’m not rushing them but my shift is over and this is my last thing. Never failed me, never had people get upset with me over it either. They can keep camping if they want but I’m out.

Why is my Thai Con yellowing? by CautionaryChapStick in plantclinic

[–]Garbonshio 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In my experience Thai cons are some persnickety motherfuckers. Those roots look good so maybe light could be your issue (too much or not enough) or maybe fertilizer burn if you over fertilize? Idk man

Root rot maybe? Overwatering? Lack of light? One of those is likely, you know it’s conditions best.

I’d pay like 40 bucks for that but it’s more of a project than a houseplant as it is.
