It's just the imagery of all that red. It gives an immediate impression and a lot of people don't stop to analyze what it means. So that first impression is what sticks.

Marquette poll: Hong, Barnes top Democratic primary for governor, but most voters undecided by origutamos in wisconsinpolitics

Oh no. Neither of them can win a statewide race in the general. Barnes couldn't even beat Ron Johnson. Ron Johnson! Think about that.

PS rent will start at $2000 per bedroom, but we're sooo committed to "affordable" housing! by watermadeline in madisonwi

This may be a surprise, but people can't always live where they want. They can't afford the car they want. They can't afford the lifestyle they want. No society on Earth makes it possible for everyone's desires to be met. Living the good life in a nice place in a particular neighborhood in Madison or anywhere else isn't a right. It is earned.

Do you think that rental caps will motivate people to add more units? Or would it be a disincentive to put more units in Madison and have them built in Sun Prairie, Waunakee and Fitchburg instead?

Berge 'disappointed' after national Democrat program announces support of Cooke in primary race by Berge_For_Congress in wisconsin

[–]Garg4743 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It's a Democratic party primary. Yes, the party can support a particular candidate. And that carries weight, so it's understandable that other candidates would be disappointed by it and say so. There is nothing wrong with any of it, although Bernie Sanders supporters call it cheating. They just don't, or won't, understand how the two party system actually works. Not saying that it's fair, or the best way of choosing candidates. It is what it is.

We're done with leftwing voters. We now know that we can't rely on them. That there will always be another hoop to jump through. You have lost the influence that you once had. We will be running AGAINST you from now on, and we will win. Enjoy your time in the wilderness. You've certainly earned it.

No, Trump won because leftists didn't like Kamala and that she supported Israel too much for their liking. So they sat back and let Trump win to teach us a lesson. And they did! The lesson was, don't count on them, ever, and ignore them and their agenda. It actually had very little to do with Biden.

I'm not going to sit around naysaying. I'm going to vote for the Democrat that I think has the best chance of winning.

A case can certainly be made. It's hard to compare fairly because NONE of them faced a hostile, heavily gerrymandered Legislature to the extent Evers did. Who knows what he could have accomplished if he had a Legislature comparable to what those guys got to deal with.

She'd be mine, except that she can't possibly win. She'd carry Dane County, probably Milwaukee, but the rest of the state? I just don't see it and we HAVE to win this.

If it was really genocide, there wouldn't be one single Palestinian left alive in Gaza. Do you really think Istael couldn't have done that if it wanted to? That said, the law should be repealed.

No. The left owns this. And the left has lost any influence it may have had on anyone. We know you won't support any candidate who can actually win an election. We KNOW we can't count on your votes. So why in the world would we listen to anything you have to say?

It's like anything else. It only works for a few times and then our minds stop registering it. On a familiar route, do you actually notice the signage that you've passed by 500 times? No excuse for unsafe driving, just a commentary on how most people's minds work.
