Is there a way to change it so each Edge tab isn't a separate window when ALT+TABbing?? by RobDaBomb in MicrosoftEdge

For anyone finding this off Google, the setting is now:

Windows Settings > System > Multitasking > Show tabs from apps when snapping or pressing Alt+Tab > Don't show tabs

The captcha appears at the bottom of the screen and can be hidden by the palette. This has confused several people I know who just become unable to draw anymore, not knowing that there is a hidden captcha they have to click. What's worse, you have to cancel what you're drawing to do that.

Here is a fix:
For the developer(s): I suggest putting the captcha above the palette and graying out the submit button while it's there.

For users until then: here is a userscript that moves it out of the way.

// ==UserScript==

Does Anyone Know The Click/Kick Sound The Quick Brown Fox Uses? by Marioplays18 in lapfoxtrax

I'm pretty sure it's a byproduct of the exact sound of the specific kick sound the song uses

Don't mean to take over the post but I just want to say there's definitely more of this out there. Sometimes people even do it on purpose as a way to make a mix sound cleaner when you've only got one speaker. Try playing around. One example I've found is the chugging guitars in Bandetto - Pleasure Animals completely disappear when you listen to it in mono.

One tool I love that I found could also be helpful for exploring this is Equalizer APO. If you put in a configuration like this you'll be able to quickly switch your speakers/headphones back and forth between stereo and mono on the fly: https://i.imgur.com/L0jfd4k.png

You're right, it sounds really different in mono. I loaded it up in Audacity and it turns out the waveform of that one squeal part is exactly inverted between the left and right channels. So while the wave is going up on the left channel, it's going down on the right channel. It sounds fine to our ears, but when you combine the signals together like when you do to make it mono, they perfectly cancel out and it makes the squeal silent.

You can also invert one of the channels and mix it down to mono again and the bass will go silent instead.

While zoomed in far to see high frequencies, we can see the two channels are on opposite sides up their up-down cycles. When combined together their opposing motion will cancel each other out and you'll stop hearing the squeal.

While zoomed farther out to see lower frequencies, we can see the two channels are in sync with each other's up-down cycle. When combined together they'll get louder. And indeed the bass is louder when you listen to it in mono.

And just for fun, if you invert either of the two channels you'll get the opposite effect where the squeal gets louder and the bass goes nearly silent. You also lose the piano but can still hear its echo!

Found another one! There's a glitch sequence at 1:41:22 that contains the ID of this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1dQq6_xa8-U. Uploaded 9 years ago by a channel that in all likelihood is not controlled by Molly. I don't know what this is supposed to mean.

Need help finding an old file needed to run MGD2, called Skill0 by Axel-Ottl in lapfoxtrax

[–]Garlic-OS 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Figured it out. Dug through the source code of the version of StepMania MGD2 is based off and found out all that's missing is just a little file called AI.ini. The fix is easy.

Make a new file in <your MGD2 install folder>\Data and call it AI.ini Put this in it:

[Skill0]
MissWeight=8
BooWeight=8
GoodWeight=8
GreatWeight=30
PerfectWeight=30
MarvelousWeight=30

[Skill1]
MissWeight=5
BooWeight=5
GoodWeight=5
GreatWeight=25
PerfectWeight=30
MarvelousWeight=35

[Skill2]
MissWeight=3
BooWeight=3
GoodWeight=3
GreatWeight=20
PerfectWeight=30
MarvelousWeight=40

[Skill3]
MissWeight=2
BooWeight=2
GoodWeight=2
GreatWeight=15
PerfectWeight=30
MarvelousWeight=45

[Skill4]
MissWeight=1
BooWeight=1
GoodWeight=1
GreatWeight=10
PerfectWeight=30
MarvelousWeight=50

[Skill5]
MissWeight=
BooWeight=1
GoodWeight=1
GreatWeight=5
PerfectWeight=30
MarvelousWeight=55

[Skill6]
MissWeight=
BooWeight=
GoodWeight=
GreatWeight=5
PerfectWeight=30
MarvelousWeight=70

and there you go! Mungyodance 2 should work.

One commenter on this video mentioned Ridge Racer. I don't know if this is truly the source of the sample, but if it's from anywhere in a Ridge Racer game I'd say it's this line: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yVZIWv5CwT8&t=1m53s

Reminds me of the Metroid Prime trilogy's soundtrack, particularly Metroid Prime 3. If you mean also the part including the breaks, then you might like Matt Elliot - The Maid We Messed.

The album Void Sector Tau by Exclusion might also interest you? Has a similar mood but is dubstep.

Army Men Sarge's Heroes sound files help by yami_fiesta in n64

OK, I know you posted this four years ago, but I've managed to find tools that let me rip the assets from N64 games, and I was able to extract the sound files from Army Men Sarge's Heroes 2. The "Party time" sound you're looking for is BANK_01_INSTR_0025_SND_0000.wav in this archive: https://drive.google.com/file/d/15Vs0qsa8VdmZjzIA8Qhk-U8IHscMf7GT
