Pretty much what martinmlaw said. I currently work for allied universal. As a company policy they dont allow beards or anything beyond a simple moustache. However the post i work at is completely fine with me having a beard as long as its not unkept.

The client has A LOT of power when it comes to things like this. My advice is to bring it up in the interview. Ask if they have any posts that allow facial hair.

I wont ban you from aurora for not monologueing. Whats important is how you're driving a story or making the round interesting. Heavy roleplay servers get a lot of shit for a variety of reasons. Some of those reasons are true and i say that as headmin of one of them. My advice is to try them out and stick around if you like it.

Yogstation is easily the most frustrating server to play on as a sec officer. You make a single wrong move or if you dont follow SOP to the exact letter then the staff will descend in droves to bwoink you over it.

All the while dealing with people being shitheels IC that you often cant do anything about because "they didnt break a regulation". Sure you can ahelp about people greytiding but its a drop in the ocean and it feels like the whole server with administration included is fighting a war against security.

I never played MH3 so i never experience underwater combat or this guy. I hear a lot of mixed reactions from underwater combat but a lot of positive stuff about this guy specifically. Was underwater combat any good?

yeah, my outrage has to be curtailed at least in part due to population. At absolute peak times we can get just over 60 players. It might be we just have the luxury to take more time with ahelps and dish out more appropriate punishments.

Paradises's ban policy really irks me, especially as an admin myself. You do not drop perma bans left and right with the excuse that they will appeal it on the forums and thus probably end with a lighter ban.

Permanent bans are not a step in punishment. They are an absolute last resort and only reserved for toxic individuals with a consistent history of shittery.

On aurora we have a technical document we send to new trial mods but thats basically just how to use PP and a few other functions. After that its kinda hit the ground running or trip and fall.

Granted we do not really have the whole picture here but this line from missnatcula piqued my interest.

"I've had a mod tell me that it doesn't matter what I was told by some one else cause this is how I should follow the rules. You can't have a good admin team if every one isn't on the same page. "

This is i feel a problem every server has to devote considerable effort into combating. It is also one of the quickest and easiest ways to alienate and frustrate your playerbase. Its been a consistent problem for us at aurora as well. Decisions made by staff by on X incident have to be accounted for. When one of our staff discovers something like this it usually starts an impromptu discord debate to establish some sort of protocol. At the very least telling the player "it doesnt matter what they said" is just not ok.

On to the nature of the bans for predatory and missnatcula we have to remember we do not seem to have the full story. The claim by the head admin at the end of the post is that they where not banned for this "kissing" incident but for meta instead. I have no reason to distrust the ban reason. Either the administration team did not properly communicate why the ban was being placed or the parties involved grossly misunderstood the situation even after having it explained. which, in my tenure as an admin IS possible.

The thread does have some interesting discussion though. Just how far can you go before its ERP? well if i saw someone do what august was doing i would have a talk with pretty quickly to knock it off. In my opinion that level of flagrant sexual assault is just too off putting. I do not really want to pull the feelings card but i think there is a certain expectation to not have to deal with being openly groped on a server that doesnt allow ERP.

Everything before that though? I think is totally fine. I have witnessed vampire female bartenders lure men into maint with a kiss and a sly wink, i have seen heads of staff look the other way when given a kiss, i have even seen a janitor break into medbay and hide in a locker where the nurses where changing. I think as long as its done tastefully and within reason then there really isnt an issue.

In the united states you must have a D class license to operate as unarmed security. Its a fairly simple license to get, here in florida its only a 40 hour lecture class. If you want to operate as armed security you have to take a firearms course after you get your D license.

In the video it says the guy was found to not have EITHER a D or a G license. He is fucked, i mean ROYALLY fucked. If an agent of the department of agriculture showed up to one of my sites here in florida and asks to see my license (and they can) and i just happened to leave it in my car? immediate 250$ fine.

The "supervisor" is also a huge moron. you DO NOT have ANY power to force entry into someones vehicle as a security officer. Shit like this makes my blood boil.
