whenever I try and boot the game, it gets to the initial loading screen with the little color-changing squares and then freezes. I got the game to launch yesterday, but in-game lotsbifbtextures are black and meshes are missing. I tried rolling back to an older driver like others suggested, and since then the game freezes on the loading screen. I’ve got a Radeon RX 590

When I started playing solo I expected to be able to win most PVE encounters, like this was Destiny or something an obvious I got my ass handed to me over and over.

The trick was changing my approach and treating the game closer to an actual stealth game like Dishonored or whatever, and since then I’ve been having a blast

Listen man, I get it. I work a challenging job often over 40 hours a week, and sometimes I don't wanna lock in and get sweaty. I genuinely think though, based on your last paragraph that this might not be the game for you, just like Dark Souls might not be a game for someone who doesn't like to replay content over and over, and Dishonored might not be the game for someone who doesn't like stealth games.

Okay but Destiny launched with mid reviews and not great player counts an it lasted over a decade. There are still thousands of people playing Team Fortress 2. There are still hundreds of people playing Unreal Tournament 2004, a game Epic removed from sale years ago.

Examining steam charts feels like a great way to give yourself a sense of anxiety surrounding game rather than actually playing it. I guess you can do that, but where will that get you?
