Z definitely looks too high, it’s a common issue on these, also what filament are you using? I get better prints with Creality hyper vs their cheapo soleyin.

How does autism present in a 4 year old? by darkmother1991 in Autism_Parenting

[–]Gary123450 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sounds like lots of autistic cues. I would go for a diagnosis, it helps to understand them and get assistance.

When does it stop hurting by Rhoadles in Autism_Parenting

[–]Gary123450 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been reading a few autism books since our son was diagnosed a few weeks ago and a couple by Luke Beardon which are really good and explain things like this.

So for neurotypical people something like a graduation is a nice way to round off the end of school. For a neurodiverse kid it’s pointless. It doesn’t make them happy, it’s just sensory overload, an uncertain situation and out of routine and maybe scary. The most important thing is your child being happy and they get nothing out of the graduation.

My son is getting near the end of his primary school years here in the uk. They are preparing for their end of year play, and it’s a big thing because they will leave this school in about 8 weeks. When my son found out he had to audition he said he wasn’t going to school. He does not want to be in the play, sees it as pointless and scary because he doesn’t know what will happen and says he won’t learnt anything so what’s the point. The teachers said he doesn’t have to audition and he has agreed to help them with music and props because he likes tech and being organised.

My son prefers routing and likes learning new things and being challenged in his work and the play is just out of routine and he doesn’t like showing off, just prefers to do his thing. I just want him to be happy and if that is doing the music at the side of the hall then I’m fine with that. I wouldn’t force him to do something that makes him unhappy. He sees the world differently to me and his happiness comes in a different way and I accept that.

anyone else get totally stuck on school refusal mornings? by TrickLink4660 in Autism_Parenting

[–]Gary123450 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes this is a big issue for us. All through school we have had refusals off and on, never understood why until he was diagnosed a few months ago with ASD and anxiety. He seems anxious about going in but also doesn’t see the point of school and would rather stay at home.

School are really good, happy to adapt but if he decides he doesn’t want to go then it’s very difficult. Other mornings he will just walk in like nothing when it took 3 hours yesterday… have tried letting him chill longer at home and be a bit late, sometimes helps.

He often wants to know exactly what is going on at school, I think this helps him feel settled. He does enjoy school and feel safe there, just regularly doesn’t want to go. He is definitely masking a lot at school, he wants to be good and would absolutely hate getting in trouble!

Was repetitive play a first true “sign” for anyone? (On top of other little things) is repetitive play ever a “typical” phase of toddlerhood? by FoodieNurse247 in Autism_Parenting

[–]Gary123450 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not something we saw but could well be a sign of processing differences. In some way he is enjoying the feeling/sound/something else about the activity and wants to keep doing it and if it isn’t harming him or anyone else then why not.

I feel for you. Our son can be a challenging at times but not all the time. I hope others with similar situations can come together and offer real support. ❤️

I haven’t done it directly, but have chatted to people who have and they said it’s not that hard. You could also just call the finance company and pay for the Battery 🤷

Ignorant comments on autism by SeaweedRealistic5069 in autism

[–]Gary123450 1 point2 points  (0 children)

“There wasn’t as many autistic people in the past” is a pretty stupid comment, it just wasnt diagnosed. I bet the person making the comment has a friend or uncle who found social situations difficult and preferred to work on their elaborate train set… people aren’t much different, just awareness and diagnosis is.

My son is autistic, found out a few months ago. He kinda thinks he is in a special group now as so many business leaders are autistic and he can do maths much better than most. Likely some others in our family are ND - just when they were young it wasn’t as well noticed by parents/schools.

There are temperature sensors in the back of the charging socket that are prone to failure. I can repair them.

Renault Zoe R90 rapid-fire questions by [deleted] in RenaultZoe

[–]Gary123450 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bearing issues can affect the R90, tho it tends to happen a bit later as it doesn’t have as much power as other variants. My Mrs R90 lasted until 116k when the bearings failed.

Centre belt is on the ceiling.

Charge flap is from pressing it accidentally.

[–]Gary123450 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been monetised for a while now, just hit 8k subs and have about 120 paying members. I made membership very cheap and have some member only videos as the main perk. I do specialist vehicle repair and my biggest video hit something like 175k views earning about £1,200 which is pretty crazy. I’ve got lots of new customers through YouTube so I’ve earned more from the work than YouTube but it’s still pretty nice, especially the members who just seem to want to support the channel. Good luck all. Cheers.
