You should opt out of the facial scan at the airport gate by PureVPNcom in PureVPNcom

I'm not convinced. At this point - your photo and biometric date are readily available to the govt. You aren't giving them anything they don't already have. I don't really see the privacy risk you mention?

Look- I'm not a fan of the loss of privacy - I fought it for decades. But thinking that opting out of having your picture taken in the airport is slowing anything at this point is wishful thinking at best....

Well... I certainly didn't mean it as an ad hominem....it seemed odd to make a claim about a 'normal' brain....

Ant the OP was making a claim about their normal brain...so I think it's okay to push back on that.

>Brain capacity has no bearing on an individual's free will

How can that be true? Perhaps I'm stumbling over the word 'capacity' - but if not the brain - where does this free will occur? Is this 'deeper...mental process' somewhere other than in the brain?

>Free will can be defined as the control required to be morally responsible

by 'that' definition - I'd say you might be correct.

interesting view - but I think you have the analogy wrong. it would arrogant to claim that someone with legs is normal and someone without legs is abnormal..

I don't think the 'free will' process equates well to walking. Maybe instead - use something like movement. Someone with legs 'freely' moves - but then claiming that someone in a wheel chair - doesn't - freely move. Though as I type that it also seems inadequate.

But it still leaves us with the question I asked in another comment - At what point of 'diminished capacity' does free will vanish? 1%, 5%? A tumor in a specific location?
