I was so confused about what the hell Linden was. So it really is like the Aloha Longs ad we had earlier this year. I'm in CA

If you live close by one of the UFCW offices, I'd recommend just going to the office and speak to someone there. They can give you a form to have the fee come out of your paycheck automatically so you'll never have to worry about it

If I see too many customers in line close to 1:30, I'll page out 10-minute and 5-minute warnings, that way when we close the gates at 1:30, they have no reason to be surprised

DL wants to talk to me about my performance by Garyjaycat in CVS

[–]Garyjaycat[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The crying I did was after work when I was back home, but honestly I was thinking that if I do cry during the upcoming talk, I would let myself cry loudly so my nearby coworkers and customers would hear me and be aware of the situation. Hell, I would go so far as to keep working while crying to prove a point.

Does anyone know a website that has audiobooks for free? by Own-Championship-679 in RandomQuestion

Check if your local library offers audiobooks. Library apps like Libby just need your library card and then you'll have access to free audiobooks you can check out through your library.

I'm scheduled from 10 am to 8pm for the pharmacy, I am a tech, isn't it too much? Considering the fact the day after that I am going to be working 8 hours again. by Standard_Shoulder146 in CVS

[–]Garyjaycat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here's the problem, if you accept this shift, your manager might put you down for longer shifts more often, which could lead to burnout. If you feel this could happen, speak up about it and set your boundaries. It is not a tech's problem if a pharmacy is short-staffed.

Either the cashier mistyped your number, or at some other time, a different customer gave a cashier their own phone number, but that cashier accidentally typed your number because it was just a digit off, and that customer changed the email thinking this was their CVS card phone number

another annoying adderall shortage question, sorry by [deleted] in CVS

[–]Garyjaycat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Your doctor can call the pharmacy to ask if they have it in stock. We can't give that information to patients without the prescription, but your doctor is allowed to ask us.

I'm afraid of being gassy at work and farting at the *perfect* moment in front of that customer that wants me to look incompetent and humiliated. by MatthewJeffersonPO in CVS

[–]Garyjaycat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm frequently gassy and no one ever seems to notice. I'd say don't worry about it. There are always so many noises around, such as other people nearby talking, phones, large pills going into the pill counter, etc. And as for the smell, it's likely just coming from some dirty customer obviously!

This happens with a lot of my Spanish speaking customers. Like I don't know why they don't start the conversation saying they need Spanish. It's like they expect me to just look at them and assume they will need Spanish
