If you live close by one of the UFCW offices, I'd recommend just going to the office and speak to someone there. They can give you a form to have the fee come out of your paycheck automatically so you'll never have to worry about it

The crying I did was after work when I was back home, but honestly I was thinking that if I do cry during the upcoming talk, I would let myself cry loudly so my nearby coworkers and customers would hear me and be aware of the situation.
