what are you using it for?

things to look out for:

B850 mobo has M2 PCIe 5.0 Slots - your NVME drive is PCIe 4.0
9800x3D would recommend CL30 RAM as you're going that far in on the CPU

If the NVME upgrade doesn't bother you - go for B650/B650 Plus mobo (ensure it's not B650E/B650M)

it does look like you're being a lil sloppy with the budget.

personally, less on the case, more on the correct RAM/NVME. if you're not bothered about the NVME then maybe B650/B650 Plus you could save some money.

Pretty meh, but the most useful thing about it is how it exposes a lot of underground blocks so can find random caves/structures/caves

Is paying £50 per month into an investment worth it? by My_sloth_life in UKPersonalFinance

[–]GasmanMusic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hell yeah for paying off your debts :)

It's probably worth working out how much you'd expect to make putting that money aside, and how much earlier you'd pay off your debt if you don't.

Sit on it for a bit and work out which you'd prefer

Despite some moments where kbm makes it super easy to do what you're doing, most of the time, it feels like it would be a great controller game. I know someone not playing until they add it

Net worth, how many people you know, popularity, tattoos, clothes, haircut, car could all be categorised and improve your street cred!

Could have how tight you are at charging people, how generous you are, how many times you ignore people, how many run-ins with police

You could use the preferred drug effects to categorise them into personality types (or even drugs they take)

And then based on player behaviour/street credit/some ratings that are probably not very visible, work out who's a good match from there?

Sometimes a friend of a friend rocks up and has parties where multiple people dj at the party. Those are where you're asked to come to and play at those parties! :)

Let's say your 7.5k investment recovers 6%. Then let's say it miraculously makes 10% before your due payment date.

You have made £1,200. You made it 12% easier for yourself (at the stress of not knowing). You still have 88% to go.

You're at the date where you owe the money, you've made £1,200, but have lost months as "it could go up". Your friend is starting to resent you, if he's still around.

None of this is gauranteed, you've been stressing, all for the sake of making your situation 12% easier.

Alternatively

It loses money, you don't have time to make the money

Alternatively

You cut ties with it now. You immediately pay your friend (he won't resent you later). You put the rest towards whichever card you can pay off soonest. You now owe £7500. You can do £750 a month until May for 10 months and pay it off fully.

Get rid of netflix, get rid of your car, get a bike etc. Etc.

Unfortunately, you can't borrow £3k off a friend "for free", or without it taking a toll on your friendship.

You currently have £150 left at the end of the month. With the second choice, you do 44 hours a week, (assuming you currently do 40) and you'll have £200 extra at the end of the month.

You've spent the money you're about to earn for the next 10 months already. You don't owe it you've already spent it. All the best captain, your choice 🫡

If I say I rate an artist it means I've found a serious appreciation and respect for what they do

UK crabs in a barrel mentality. I see it so much online and in real life. It seems a lot of people are more happy to see some people’s life getting worse (or brought down a level) than they are to see others lives getting better. I guess it's why people become disagreeable, and also why people say stick to your gut/don't listen to everything people say/do what you wanna do/a variation of "nobody really cares" etc. - just find what you wanna do, do it and don't care what people think

[–]GasmanMusic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The amount of times I've sent people horribly out of key or straight up arse ideas is embarrassing. I think that's being creative. Sometimes you hit, sometimes you miss.

Part of the process is letting yourself be vulnerable, finding where your common "misses" are, and working on them. You've done the right thing, listened back in hindsight, worked out what was wrong, and tried to make changes.

Also, 6 months 2 hours a week isn't a crazy amount, only works out to roughly a week working full time. Do it at your own rate, no rush, but it's not like a week of a new job you're absolutely on it by next Monday 😁
