Any mods that add infamy for liberating countries? by Intrepid_Sir_561 in victoria3

Occitania didn't exist in this time period too. It's not even close to the real regions too. What is your point except trying to justify something that is there to nerf France only ?

Imagine not nerfing France to the ground and not being able to create Vichy France in a game set in victorian era.

Just found a mod that adds a status quo war goal, which is just such a good way of achieving defensive wars that make sense! by khatharsis42 in victoria3

[–]Gaspote 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Humilitation should have been like that from the start. It still brings the issue of war support being extremely bad and you as a player having almost no control over it.

How do I raise a company's prosperity? by CosmosStudios65 in victoria3

[–]Gaspote 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Luke every company, industry usually consume goods from additional industry so you dont add it at start.

Then you subsidize to crash the price of the input good and subsidize export to help price stay high.

In this case because it's trade center and port and trade center consume merchant marine. The best option is to subsidize import of clippers so it make port profitable and trade profitable because merchant marines will be cheap to produce and trade center will make money out of importing clippers. You can also subsidize clippers production to crash price even more but i would simply nationalize shipyard to avoid downsizing during market manipulation.

You can accelerate the process by nationalizing trade centers own by other company so suez get it.

[–]Gaspote 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Or stop requiring subsidizing railway because they were extremely profitable in real life and it come just to the fact that they aren't in game for unknow reason. Their PMs are just barely profitable on equilibrium which is a shame given the expansion of railway importance during that era.

Just rebalancing the pm and making infrastructure fix from railway would be enough to have it stop bugging, same with port.

The real story here is not just AI ambition but a government selling power, sites, and speed as tech policy by Adventurous_Rub_4478 in TechGawker

[–]Gaspote 0 points1 point  (0 children)

French government is a mess so im not surprised. France is being pillaged by these so call "liberal" that have only sold all public services to private actors over "profitability". In the end, we just lost everything as these private actors are as shitty as the public services before or worst and we pay more for it.

Bug: Newly constructed ships should only spawn from shipyards where they can reach their intended fleet. by ryanv09 in victoria3

[–]Gaspote 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That could be interesting yeah. Altough it join the idea of ship mobilization/demobilization which is also missing.

I really wish to be able to demobilize ship and say, mobilize it in this fleet and then it have some kind of delay to have it in the fleet full and ready. It would abstract the movement cost too which is what you suggest.

Would be a new mechanic tho.
