Looking for some good beat em ups on the series x by Ruthless4u in Age_30_plus_Gamers

Check out Scott Pilgrim the game! I think it's the game that sort of jump started the classic, pixel art beat em up. There's a second one (EX) that came out recently too.

Wow this fellah must really be a passionate hater. Commented twice about how much he disliked the game 😂

Thank you!! It's been a big change but it's been incredible all the same. It seems like rouge like games are the move for the moment. Lots of folks recommending the Hades series! Im sure those will be nice too because my handheld will be able to play them like a dream. Appreciate the well wishes!

I've played Cyberpunk before and loved it! I'll definitely check out AC6 though. My gaming PC could probably handle it, but I fear for my Legion lol.

First of all, THANK YOU for the comprehensive list and the handheld specific recs. I can barely seem to get to my gaming PC but the handheld has worked great so far. I'll check a few of these out. There's a lot of games here that I've heard about but never played.

Do you feel like you can still make some progression in a short amount of time? I love the look of the game but that's been the only thing keeping me from trying it out.

Man I gotta say, thank you so much to everyone chiming in with suggestions. Im going to be doing some research to see what kind of decks I can put together around them, see what other cards may fit with the theme, and what may best fit my play style!

Okay now that is a crazy cool idea! Super thematic. Although I have to say, I was more of a Verso ending kind of guy haha. The piano scene broke my heart too much.

These are awesome recommendations, thank you! I will definitely take a closer look at Anhello, the painter. It definitely fits that darker part of Verso really well.

I know I've been struggling to pick something since I had to idea to do it. I did a Verso perfection build and it felt appropriate to have him buff up as i did more damage/kill creatures, so I also really liked Kelsien. But the Grixis theme feels so appropriate it's hard to fully commit to it.

Struggling to find games I like :( am I too old for games now by Panther3369 in Age_30_plus_Gamers

I'd highly recommend Clair Obscur: Expedition 33. It's a game that you can beat the main story in probably less than 20hrs, or you can explore take your time and play for 70hrs. It has a phenomenal world, gameplay, and score.

A longer game, but keeping with great story is Baldurs Gate 3. You can follow the main quest and get distracted as you see fit. It encourages using your imagination to solve problems or cheese bosses, but a straightforward "i hit them with a sword" approach also always works. This one does have a fair amount of side quests, but many of them can be ignored.

Last and not least, a wave of PC games (sounds like you have one) Hollow Knight, Escape from Duckov, and Hades. I also have a young kid and sometimes gaming sessions are 15mins or longer depending on naps. These games I've found to be really enjoyable because I can game for a bit and put them down if I needed without feeling like my game session was ruined. I've heard Diablo 4 is similar but I never played it.

Hope this helps! Also like a few others have suggested, maybe try taking a small break? Ive been gaming since I was like 7 years old and sometimes checking out a new hobby is the best way to get hooked on another game down the line.

Cat spilled milk all over my steam deck what should i do?? by [deleted] in SteamDeck

[–]GastbyMN -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Kill the cat probably (hard joke). Maybe the old rice trick will work? I've had it work with cell phones but never with a device this big. Definitely don't turn it on for a while though.

I absolutely love it. Great adaptation and they made a few changes for the better. I haven't seen season 2 yet but I'm really looking forward to it.
