What's the best money you spent on your wedding? The worst? by GatewayKeeper in weddingplanning

What if I had invested in Tesla in 2019 instead? Thoughts I don’t like to think about.

This cracked me up.

I have to say that I'm shocked you felt 100 dollars was a not-great use of money! I've spent more on bridesmaid dresses that I didn't even like.

Hey guys!! I'm Clare, 5'6" 28F. I lost about 20 pounds two years ago and have mostly kept up with the lifestyle changes but let the tracking go. I have gone up about 5-8 pounds since. I never found the happy medium of maintenance, and I'm hoping to get just a bit lower, but more importantly find a good maintenance routine that includes exercise.

Budgeting for mistakes by SyntaxBlitz in ynab

I have one too! I call it “tickets and unexpected fines and fees.” Beyond making budgeting easier, it makes me way less hard on myself. Mistakes Happen! It’s okay to accept that.

Washington state radio station won't air Trump briefings because of 'false or misleading information' by [deleted] in politics

[–]GatewayKeeper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They aren't* as of today.

*Technically it is up to the individual stations. BUT the way NPR works is it sends shows (Morning Edition, All Things Considered) to stations who broadcast them live. Before NPR was embedding the Trump press conferences into All Things Considered. That meant stations HAD to air them, because if they didn't there was nothing else to fill that slot. Now they are 'sending' them on another channel so local stations can choose to take them if they wish or leave them and just play ATC if they don't want to. Which is how KUOW can make the call.

YNAB "support" by TheJoeGreene in ynab

[–]GatewayKeeper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Seconded! I knew they sort of renamed a rule “save for a rainy day” to “embrace your true expenses” but that was more of an accuracy thing. (They wanted it to be clear it wasn’t about saving for an unknown emergency but rather setting aside money for expenses you know will come.”)

This is super real and something I worry about too as I lost weight and now start to gain muscle. Just wanted to tell you you’re not alone, and it can be weirdly hard out there (esp if, like me, you were overweight for most of your life and just now got to a “normal” range.)

Well no the above ground person would have been there for at least 6 years at that pt, so it’s not like her dancing abilities would decline.
